Technology Web Browsers, What do you choose for FREE browsing of the interwebs?

i mainly using dissenter so i can comment on everything and i feel satisfied with it.
I wish I could get the original dissenter extension, but they insist on an entire fucking browser. I understand why Gabai chose to go that route after getting buttfucked by google and mozilla. They are a case in point why no piece of software or hardware should be permitted to be a choke point on information. Still a matter of frustration, and the plugin project on github appears abandoned so compiling my own won't work -- if it even could, if Gab permits non-official or third party access to their data store.

As the article states:

Released in 2015, IPFS stands for Interplanetary File System It is a classic peer-to-peer protocol similar to BitTorrent and designed to work as a decentralized storage system.

IPFS allows users to host content distributed across hundreds or thousands of systems, which can be public IPFS gateways or private IPFS nodes. Users who want to access any of this content must enter an URL in the form of ipfs://{content_hash_ID}.

Brave is the first major browser to seamlessly support accessing IPFS natively.

Waterfox: A fork of Firefox emphasizing privacy. My replacement for Pale Moon, which was my replacement for Mozilla a few years back. Very strong addon support so can be customized thoroughly with strong adblock/anti-scripting protection, good perf, no third party 'partner' bloat such as Firefox has acquired. Having taken a liking to Brave I mostly use that, but if I ever had to change, Waterfox would be my immediate choice.
Can you get add-ons like with Firefox? Like, I use uBlock Origin usually, and it generally works pretty well.

From personal experience, yes. I have uBlock Origin and a few other addons from Firefox on my Waterfox browser.

Firefox has lost over 46 million users over the past three years, far below its heyday of having 30% market share back in 2008. Now lameass Google Chrome owns 65% of the browser market.

PC Gamer said:
Firefox users have often complained about the lack of substantial performance updates in the last few years, along with the divisive Firefox 89 UI overhaul that convinced some long-time users to try their luck with other browsers. It also doesn't help that Google Chrome is now the default browser on nearly all Android devices around the world, Microsoft Edge is doing the same on Windows machines, and we can't forget Safari on Macs and iPhones.

With more and more websites optimizing for Chrome so that they will load faster, it'll be an uphill battle for Firefox to remain competitive and peel users away from the Google ecosystem. With 197 million users, Firefox isn't going to disappear overnight, and some folks still really like what Mozilla is doing.
