Tried to log in earlier today, and got an error message. Didn't think to record what it was. Just tried again now, and not getting the issue. So hopefully its resolved, but figure I'd mention it occured.

Wow the passage of the Big Beautiful Bill is already working it's magic and it hasn't even been signed into law yet!

Thanks to the work of our tech team we have somewhat stabilized the site, hopefully for the long term. We are leaving the search function off for now as we monitor the situation but hopefully, fingers crossed, knock on wood, and all that jazz, things should return to more or less normal.

I was basically unable to access the site like 9? ish hours today. With a brief bit where I could, but only for about three or five minutes.

Edit: Dunno if it was planned or whatever. And I haven't got around to looking at news to see if it was.

was a hosting issue at the physical server, had to do a full reboot to solve it.

Are you almost ready to bring the search bar back or are you still sorting out issues with that?

We're keeping it disabled for now in an effort to keep things as stable as possible. We're still not totally convinced we fixed the root cause of the failure and want to make sure we fully understand it before we turn things back on like that.

Unfortunately that same caution is partially to blame for the spate of spam attacks recently, but thanks to the diligence of our mod staff we are keeping on top of that.
