It has the best inventory system, as in you are so rich that your inventory doesn't really matter, you've got armsmen and servants to lug your stuff around.
Eh, that is my issue with it.
That and the ammo.
Darl Heresy is honestly better

Depends on what tone you want for your game.

Dark Heresy is what you want for a gritty street level game with a focus on subterfuge and espionage.

Rogue Trader is what you want for a political machinations game with a focus on economic and strategic military management.

On a character level, Dark Heresy characters and Rogue Trader characters are about even in terms of survivability, with Dark Heresy characters being a little more powerful on a one for one basis, of course Rogue Traders have divisions of soldiers and warships at their beck and call, so that levels the playing field a bit.

Rogue Trader sounds a lot better than the parody/pop and scifi homage it was originally introduced as and is still know for.

I am assuming it is a new edition?

Dark Heresy is more akin to what one expects in TTTPGs
Only war is just have a boat load of characters ready.

It has been like that for awhile now.

The Rogue Trader rpg is based on the in-universe profession of a Rogue Trader, basically being a Conquistador/Explorer/Megacorp CEO, it doesn't have anything to do with the original campy 1st Edition 40k Rogue Trader really.

Dunno, they got pushed at me a lot, but their videos weren't all that high where production values and quality were concerned.

I think the chick narrator is what attracts nerds to them.
They have some good quality vids. Thier monster verse ones

Only into WH, SW and maybe some Halo and Trek off the top of my head where their stuff is concerned.
For the first 1st Arch is better, for the 2nd Eck is.

They did a lot of work on the monster verse stuff as well as PR vs Godzikla

Their behavior on Twitter is completely different from their behavior on YouTube apparently. It was kinda surprising to see. Like I didn't realize they were openly left in politics like Spacedock was (which is why I largely ignore Spacedock).

Female Space Marines is a bad take but whatever. What really got me was how on Twitter they literally shouted out how they'll invite debate and argument and then acted so craven, cowardly and trying to be smug when they received plenty of fair criticism of their stance. They then begged people to donate to their Patreon.

I didn't watch much of their lore before. I liked the videos I saw but despite being pretty well produced, they seemed pretty shallow. Certainly won't be as interested now.

EDIT:

Ratio seems to be getting worse and worse.

Carl Benjamin, aka Sargon of Akkad, apparently put up a thick essay on the 'Politics of Warhammer 40K' on his LotusEaters Website. It's a long one, broken down by chapters but there's a just under two hour audio version as well.

It's more on external politics concerning Warhammer 40K as opposed to internal ones, this ain't a lore video sadly.

Sargon of Akkad said:
In this essay, I examine the intersection of the fictional universe of Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 with real-world politics, and explain how the interplay between the moral position presented by the progressive left has imposed itself on this fantasy realm. I explore theories of story, representation and critique to give my analysis of the social forces that drove Games Workshop to take a political stand against their own game.

Yeah. I noticed they had the "use this one phrase in your response to show that you've actually watched the video, we'll be hanging around in the comments" and then a bunch of people did that to no apparent response.

I'm wondering if the poor quality of Twitter counter arguements (because the character limitakes getting a point across difficult) gave them a false impression of how well they could hold thier own, and then they got caught off guard when people were able to make longer, better arguements on youtube.

Most of these shorter video channels are pretty shallow, at least from the perspective of a fan of the series, I think the idea is more to get non-fans to click and learn more about a setting they don't follow.

Templin can be pretty decent when they're making thier own long form stuff, at least.

To me it became quite obvious that this Trampoline guy wasn't doing this because he was a fan of the relevant franchises. he os doing it to make money or attention whore, maybe both.

Zyobot

Just a time-traveling robot stranded on Earth.
Cross-posting a fanfic idea from over here: Just when the Golden Throne’s about to fail, the God-Emperor of Mankind gets sent to Mortis and meets The Ones from Star Wars.

What happens next? On the one hand, I can certainly imagine the Father taking an interest in this exceedingly powerful immortal who has just shown up, as well as the Son attempting to seduce him to the Dark (which Big E would have none of, surely). But on the other, I don’t know if he’d make a good replacement for the Father if asked, since — while the Emperor is more than powerful enough — I’m not sure if he wields the right kind of power, due to questions of whether godlike Psychic might would be a sufficient “stand-in” for godlike connection to the Force.

@Zyobot @Zachowon @Battlegrinder Sarg and Arch mentioning Oculus Imperia reminded me of this other YouTube lore channel that had an in universe narrator who was a mechanicus inquisitor with a dinosaur skull.

But I don't remember the name of the channel, you guys remember that guy?
