It’s already tremendously funny that they keep calling it sixth generation just because it’s newer than F-22 / F-35, even though there aren’t any breakthrough capabilities that set it apart from fifth generation stealth.

It’s as if Northrop had called the Hornet "fifth generation" simply because it was newer than the fourth generation Tomcat.

Sixth generation presumably is going to focus more on computing stuff as compared to generation 5 whose main thing was stealth

No, what makes it Sixth gen is that is sets forth future capabilities that are still currently classified on it.
We know it has better stealth then that of all current aircraft, is more capable then the B2 in all but capacity of what it carries.

We know nothing of the sort, because it doesn’t actually exist yet, and the British R&D establishment has a well earned reputation for making grand promises and delivering mediocre at best results. In all likelihood, the Tempest will have better stealth capabilities than PAK FA and J-10 but only on par with F-35 and inferior to those of the F-22, much less NGAD.

With at least 5 other prototypes in varying stages of construction. Albeit I suspect much like was the case with the B-2 one of those will be put through destructive tests on the ground to see what the frame can truly handle. BTW that's how the national museum of the airforce has a b-2 on display its the one they broke in that stage of testing carefully put back together from a external look POV

We have known about the project for years but they rolled it out officially.
So no prototype being shown. The actual aircraft

So it's in full production already.
They already put it into production without having even a test flight? And I thought the Soviets were terrible with pushing designs that had not been sufficiently tested into production.

Jokes aside, this the first of six prototypes. There will be extensive testing and aircraft will enter production once most of the encountered problems are dealt with.

Fighter 'generations' have become meaningless qualifiers, used for marketing teams to try to convince people 'ours is better than the competitor's'.
