2022 is when the boomers retire en mass that's when the era of essentially unlimited investment money ends and if you cant make it in this environment then your fucked in a world where it all goes away.
We are fucked right now, we essentially took this era of prosperity and blew money on stupid shit that didn't matter instead of important infostructor that would for example make sure we didn't get hard fucked by a droubt and this goes through the entire system. We grossely over promised pensions and there is fuck all we can do to pay it.
Our three choices are federal bailout, Bankruptcy and economic collapse. Which is why we are doing a full court press to try to get a dem in 2020 including doing shit that's blantantly illegal because we want option A.
If that doesn't happen the other two options are less then ideal, but I'm going to be honest this plague might be really good for us because it gives us political cover for a bankruptcy. We just blame the virus for every thing declare bankruptcy and get our fincial affairs in order.
Of course if the dems lose 2020 that requires Pelosi to kiss the ring and do what ever it takes to get option B. If she puts her pride ahead of the state and refuses to do her one job she will be tossed on her ass with predice if she's lucky.

Both, tbh. Yours is about the economy being affected by the virus, Cherico's an explanation how California is screwed in the long run, and neither is specifically about that report about beef being scarce.

I think this video is relevant, it speaks of how many "non-essential" businesses are actually what keeps the rest of a country's economy going
One example is corn farmers and cinemas, without cinemas open much of their produce will remain un-bought even when it's already been sown on a strict time table and as such many other businesses involved in turning that corn into popcorn remain unused and many people remain unemployed and without those businesses up and running they may not be able to even pay their own employees on-leave-for-long
You can't keep most of the economy closed for too long and simply saying those who are against the continued shutdown are greedy or fascistic is ignoring how badly the economy can be effected

Well the beef being scarce is more simple. The virus was in where the beef is prepared.

Alot of people who dislike the same stuff as you are going to be hurt. Truth is these states are in effect held hostage by thier urban areas. Seriously look at the 2016 electoral map.
