Pennsylvania Election Thrown Into Chaos Due to Unexpected ‘Error’ Affecting Mail-In Ballots

The Pennsylvania primaries have been thrown into disarray after an election “glitch” caused an issue for thousands of mail-in ballots.

“An error by a company that prints ballots for several Pennsylvania counties made thousands of mail-in ballots unreadable Tuesday as voters were deciding hotly contested primaries for governor and U.S. Senate in one of the nation’s most important battleground states,” PBS reported.

“Officials in Lancaster County, the state’s sixth most populous, said the problem involved at least 21,000 mailed ballots, only a third of which were scanning properly,” the report stated. “The glitch will force election workers to redo ballots that can’t be read by the machine, a laborious process expected to take several days. Officials in the GOP-controlled county pledged that all the ballots will be counted eventually.”

“Citizens deserve to have accurate results from elections and they deserve to have them on election night, not days later,” Josh Parsons, a Republican and vice chair of the county board of commissioners, said at a news conference. “But because of this, we’re not going to have final election results from these mail ballots for probably several days, so that is very, very frustrating to us.”

“The Lancaster Board of Elections, of which Parsons is a member, renewed its criticism of a 2019 state voting law that expanded mail-in balloting but prevented counties from opening mailed ballots before Election Day to check for errors,” the report continued.

“The board said the law, which passed the legislature with bipartisan support, also forces counties to use vendors to print ballots rather than doing them in house,” it noted.

“Act 77 is untenable for us as counties to continue to work in elections and not have problems like this,” said Ray D’Agostino, chairman of the Lancaster board.

The New York Times had another excuse for the delays, however: Election laws.

“With two large fields in close Republican primaries for Senate and governor, a tight Democratic Senate race and more than 910,000 applications for mail-in and absentee ballots requested, election officials in the state anticipate that it could take a while before definitive results are tallied,” the NY Times reported.

“A main cause is in Pennsylvania’s election code: Election officials are not allowed to begin opening and processing mail-in and absentee ballots before 7 a.m. on Election Day. This provision was one of the chief causes of delays during the 2020 presidential election.

Election officials have begged lawmakers to change the law to give them more time to process absentee ballots. Democrats who have tried to do so have been blocked by Republicans, who control the legislature.

“We know that voters want results on primary election night,” said Ellen Lyon, a spokeswoman for the Pennsylvania secretary of state’s office. “We will have unofficial results within a few days. Given the possibility of recounts and the need for official certifications, it is unlikely that final results in all races will be available on election night.”

Josh Shapiro, the attorney general of Pennsylvania, won the Democratic nomination for governor. Meanwhile, Representative Ted Budd won the Republican primary for Senate in North Carolina. He outbattled competitors in a 14-way race with a boost from powerful endorsements from Donald J. Trump.

There are four other states voting on Tuesday — Oregon, Idaho, and Kentucky. It is hoped that those states can get their results in before midnight tonight.

And here....we....go.

I would bet you $1000 Barnett won and they are pulling a fraud to knock her out. I also bet they'll put Oz in so they'll get their guy in while also preventing any discussions of voter fraud.

The showdown for the PA Governor's Residence is officially set between PA State Attorney General Josh Shapiro (D) vs State Senator Doug Mastriano (R-Fayetteville) on November 8th.

Oddsmakers have it Lean Dem for now. Any thoughts ?

The problem is that Mastriano is a candidate who plays well in deep red areas, but the collar counties around Philly (which generally make up the deciding factor) hate his brand of politics.

It's not that he can't win, but it's more than likely Shapiro wins at this point. And keep in mind that Shapiro's campaign actually spent *more* money on Mastriano's primary bid than *Mastriano* spent.

No that is not a typo: Shapiro feels that of all the potential opponents, Mastriano is by far the easiest to beat, and if Dr. Oz wins the Senate nomination, it's quite possible that Pennsylvania goes blue in an election where it would otherwise go red.

Wasn't Oz the one Trump supported?

Yes. He's also a flagrant carpetbagger and his only actual connection to Pennsylvania is that he went to medical school at Penn (University of Pennsylvania). He was born in Cleveland but grew up in Wilmington, Delaware. He also has some very questionable ties to Erdogan in Turkey.

The only saving grace is that if he gets the nomination, his opponent is the current lieutenant governor of PA, who's actually pretty progressive, so it could set up a case where the state ends up holding its nose while voting. If the Democrat was going to be Conor Lamb, Oz would be screwed.

It's possible Shapiro keeps the PA Governor's Residence in Dem control for 3rd consecutive term.

Fetterman is way too crazy. I think GOP keeps the open US Senate seat in PA very easily.

The problem is that he’s got the press to cover for his more outrageous comments, and that populism isn’t exactly a winner in the swing areas.

It’s possible that Oz would win, but it’ll be close. Remember, this is the same state that keeps re-electing Bob Casey Jr despite him being a liberal Democrat.

It’s Déjà Vu All Over Again: Is the Uniparty Stealing PA GOP Primary from Dr. Oz? – They’re Delaying Results in Allegheny County -Third World Tactics

Who is hedge fund CEO David McCormick?

A recent fundraiser sponsor in New York for David McCormick was the founder of a consulting firm representing the controversial Dominion Voting Systems. McCormick also made big bucks lobbying for Communist China. McCormick moved back to Pennsylvania to run in the GOP Senate race after Sean Parnell dropped from the race.

President Trump had this to say about McCormick at a recent rally in Pennsylvania.

In the closing weeks of the 2022 primary election, Dr. Oz and Kathy Barnette pulled ahead of David McCormick. Oz was up 7 points. Barnette was up 5 points on McCormick.
gop-pa-poll-final-primary.jpg

But on Tuesday night when the mail-in ballots started to come in, David McCormick built a sizeable lead against Dr. Oz and Kathy Barnette was a distant third.

There were still votes to count. And there still are votes to count over 24 hours later.

Dr. Oz made up 5,000 votes by Wednesday morning.

Dr. Oz scored with Trump voters.

But the counting continues 24 hours after the polls closed. The ballots keep coming in just like in 2020. No one knows how many are left to count.

Here are the latest numbers as of 8 AM ET on Thursday morning.

And they are holding votes in Allegheny County — which is the second-most populous county in the state and David McCormick’s home turf.

This is just unbelievable…

It is unacceptable for Allegheny County to delay any further. What people don't understand is that this works a lot like the reason we demand recusals. It's the mere appearance of impropriety that poses a danger to the system, sows distrust and kills integrity. It's not legit.

These stupid bastards aren't going to be happy until the system collapses and we all start killing each other. What do a lack of trust in government/elections, food shortages, and unaffordable housing ALL have in common? They destroy societies and collapse empires.

Exactly, it doesn't matter whether it's simply incompetence in a single county that happens to be the home base of the trailing candidate, it's the mere appearance of impropriety that poses a serious danger. And it's not too far of a leap, folks.

This is Third World type behavior. Even if it’s not nefarious, it continues to help erode the American peoples’ confidence in our electoral process. Why were we able to avoid this type of situation prior to 2020? I’m tired of excuses. We must demand real answers. #CA13

Whether you like Dr. Oz, or Kathy Barnette, or David McCormick is not the issue.

The issue is Pennsylvania cannot run a trustworthy election. You cannot trust what is going on behind the closed doors in Pennsylvania.

This should concern every Republican and every honest American. We either have a republic or we don’t have one.

The Uniparty might be dumber than expected...or they'll give it to Oz who's a RINO more or less. In which case this is all a show to ally suspicion when they give him the win.

Well of course.
The main reason Kemp is going to win primaries is because he is most likely to best Abrams
You know deep down many GA Dems are secretly getting sick & tired of Abrams' nagging shtick.

When Kemp wins reelection very handily this fall, we will NEVER hear from her ever again.

In 2026: GA Dems will pick an Anglo centrist moderate Dem for the GA Governor's Mansion.

BREAKING BIG: Michigan Board of Elections Tosses Top Republican Candidates from Governor’s Race Including James Craig and Perry Johnson – Claim They Did Not Turn in Enough Valid Signatures…UPDATE: MUCH MORE COMING

If you can’t beat them — Toss them.

The Michigan Bureau of Elections, a corrupt group that allowed the 2020 state election to be stolen by hundreds of ballot traffickers and tens of thousands of illegal ballots, disqualified the two leading Republican candidates for the upcoming gubernatorial election.

Former Detroit police Chief James Craig and billionaire businessman Perry Johnson were knocked out of the race today by the leftist election group. The Michigan Bureau of Elections claims they do not have enough legitimate signatures on their petitions to enter the race.

Craig and Perry were both very attractive Republican candidates who were vying for the Republican challenger to wicked Gretchen Whitmer.

The Detroit News reported:

Former Detroit police Chief James Craig and businessman Perry Johnson, two of the top candidates for the Republican nomination for governor, didn’t submit enough valid petition signatures to make the ballot, according to findings from the Michigan Bureau of Elections.
The bureau’s revelations Monday evening shook up the 2022 race to be Michigan’s governor, potentially leaving Republicans without their most well-known candidate, Craig, and without their wealthiest hopeful, Johnson.
If the bureau’s reviews hold, five of the 10 candidates who submitted signatures to run for governor wouldn’t make the ballot. Three other GOP candidates for governor were also found to have insufficient signatures: financial adviser Michael Markey of Grand Haven, Michigan State Police Capt. Michael Brown of Stevensville and entrepreneur Donna Brandenburg of Byron Center.
UPDATE– We have much more coming on this scandal… IT IS HUGE!

GOPe and Media Narrative Engineers Set Stage for Tuesday Georgia Election as Referendum on Donald Trump Influence

May 23, 2022 | sundance | 184 Comments
You did not need to be a deep-thinking political follower to have seen the DeceptiCon seeds being dropped throughout Georgia in the past several weeks. The basic narrative as engineered is that a Brian Kemp victory in the republican primary tomorrow proves the waning influence of MAGA Trump in the republican party.

Factually, albeit many subversively, from Ronna McDaniel to Mike Pence, to Mitch McConnell and every establishment republican who wants to see MAGA crushed in 2020 the same way they crushed the Tea Party in 2012, has been leaning heavily into the Georgia race to support incumbent governor Brian Kemp. In the background of Georgia politics, the democrat operatives have been doing the same. There is an alignment of interest.

The 2022 play book is similar to post 2010 era, when President Obama and Eric Holder triggered the IRS targeting of Tea Party conservative groups, and the republican old guard, including Mitch McConnell supported the effort. One might say the modern UniParty in DC became most visible in the years between 2011 and 2014. That UniParty alignment later became much more visible when the Tea Party 2.0 became MAGA in 2016 and drove the victory of Donald Trump. The GOPe worked with Democrats to remove Trump as a result.

Now we see the UniParty, the bipartisan -reach across the aisle- professional political class, align again to use the Georgia primary in 2022 as the anti-MAGA launch point. Their moves are as predictable as sunrise, and the advanced messaging from media transmits like a triggered flare from a tripwire.

CNN points out that a Brian Kemp victory means the era of Donald Trump is dead [SEE HERE]. The New York Times triggers a simultaneous flare from the flanking position.

New York Times – […] Thanks to Mr. Trump’s machinations, Georgia’s elections are once again freighted with outsized import, its primaries having become something of a referendum on the health of the Republican Party — and of American democracy.

A Kemp win would be a blow not only to Mr. Trump but also to the election denialism with which he has infected the G.O.P. Just this week, “stop the steal” truthers, determined to prove that Joe Biden cheated his way into the White House, won key primaries in North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Another election denier with Mr. Trump’s endorsement, Representative Jody Hice, is running for Georgia secretary of state against the Republican incumbent, Brad Raffensperger.

A strong win by Mr. Kemp would be the most promising signal to date that many Republican voters, at least in Georgia, are ready to move on — not from Mr. Trump per se, but from his toxic fixation on 2020. It could also provide a hopeful model for other results-oriented Republican governors, evidence that they can thrive even without bowing to the former president’s anti-democratic obsessions. And if Mr. Trump plays things wrong, he could wind up damaging his own political fortunes as well. (read more)

The technical issues associated with the 2022 primary in Georgia are the real problem. In many ways Georgia republican voters do not understand how the party has created the illusion of choice by manipulating the party rules. I take criticism from those who are angered by my pointing out the obvious, but it’s not complicated really. If the Republican party of Georgia did not want to manipulate the voting, they would never allow a system where Democrats select their candidate; it really is that simple.

Georgia is filled with battered conservatives who vote as republicans but do not see the UniParty backroom deals that have been made. It takes a major event before the voters can pry the control levers from the private Club known as the Georgia GOP.

The ‘open primary’ is the tool the UniParty always exploits, and many people will remember Mississippi 2010 when the AME church network, the democrat political network, was paid by various Mitch McConnell allied PAC’s to vote against the insurgency represented by Chris McDaniel.

In Georgia a voter will select either the Republican or the Democrat ballot. Most voters select the ballot that represents their affiliation. However, the professional networks have organized operations where specific democrat constituencies go to the polls and take a republican ballot in order to select the weakest candidate in the primary. Brian Kemp represents the interest of that Machiavellian voting bloc.

The Democrat candidate for governor, Stacey Abrams, is running unopposed. It’s the perfect storm where the AME church, ‘Black Voters Matter’ and other networks like ‘The New Georgia Project’ can go play in the Republican primary again. But it’s not all bad news though, many of those cross-party voters will have no issue voting for Hershel Walker.

Hopefully, Mike Pence endorsed Brian Kemp can be held under 50% in the primary and that will trigger a runoff. That’s the best-case scenario for Donald Trump endorsed candidate, David Perdue.

If Kemp exceeds 50% and wins the republican primary tomorrow the screaming narrative on Wednesday morning in every headline will be predictable. After all, the seeds of this operation were planted long ago….
