Not a good idea.

California is like a train going off a cliff and you do not want to be in charge when that shit hits the ground, because if you are your political career is over, and this is for structural reasons now its built into the cake its like a game of hot potato where you hope and pray it doesn't go to shit when your holding the ball.

So yeah....this is a person who's ambition out ranks her common sense.
She would be like the 4th sitting Lieutenant Governor to head to the Governor's Mansion if elected following these folks:
Goodwin Knight (R): Ascended to the Governorship upon Warren's resignation, finished up Warren's 3rd term & won full 4-year term in his own right in 1954, didn't seek reelection as Governor in 1958.

Gray Davis (D): Elected to the Governorship in massive landslide in 1998; reelected in 2002, recalled from office on October 7th, 2003.

Gavin "Slick-Hair Jackass" Newsom (D): Elected to the Governorship in massive landslide in 2018; defeated 2021 Recall attempt & reelected by double digits in 2022.

So...things are getting more interesting in AZ.

Kari Lake has some hope.

"The Arizona Supreme Court has ordered proceedings in her case challenging Maricopa County signature verification processes in the 2022 election to take place "forthwith" while also denying defendants' attorneys fees and granting one sanction."
OMG For the upteemth mother fucking time Hobbs is the GOVERNOR & will remain so until January 4th, 2027 or January 6th, 2031 (assuming Hobbs wins reelection in 2026).

sigh...breathe a little...

I'm running a thought exercise...that's all.
big scandal. at most an impeachment with maybe legal consequences if wrongdoing gets put on Hobbs directly. doesn't mean Lake gets put in power. the best outcome is the ability to force legislation through to strengthen election security as it would be political suicide for the dems to say "yeah we did it. so what?" so they would be forced to back it to a certain level at least to maintain their image to moderates.
