If Trump's people truly did not know who Fuentes was, and there was no sabotage involved outside of Milo being an ass, that just means Trump's in-house political intel/research people are so incompetent that they never warned Trump about Fuentes's influence on parts of the Right.
Which would be consistent with one of Trump's biggest flaw from his term in office; his inability to put together a competent staff, and one that isn't plotting to undermine him at every turn. It's even possible they did know who Fuentes was, but intentionally didn't tell Trump.

Oh, I think Trump was surprised by the guests and didn't know who Fuentes was, I don't think he lied about that.

But I also think that no one gets close to Trump without the Secret Service clearing the situation, just like with all former POTUS's.

So that tells me someone at MAL/in the SS let Kanye's additional guests in to dine with Trump, knowing that the very act of dining with them could hurt Trump.

Too many leaks and shit coming out of MAL for me to believe there are not political saboteurs inside Trump's house at this moment.

Most professional personal protection or bodyguards aren't just there to protect life and limb, but also other aspects of their clients life, including privacy and character and emotional well being and reputation blah blah blah... within reason of course.

Good bodyguards shouldn't allow their clients get shitfaced, fondle women in private or do illicit drugs or go streaking through the backyard, or hanging out with unsavory individuals whether drug dealers, abusive exes or known White Nationalists etc (or have such nonsense take place in the presence or property of their client). I'm not sure how the Secret Service works, but I'm assuming that they'd have a similar best practice in mind.

Either the Principal, Trump or his handlers in this case, overrode their concerns which actually seems likely to me or the Secret Service dropped the ball when it came to the whole vetting thing IMHO.

I think that's a difficult thing in general that all leaders have struggled with throughout history. Someone competent is rarely loyal and someone loyal is rarely competent.

True the dinner it could have been a legit mistake, but the fact Trump had no idea who he was only makes him look incompetent, Trump should have a list of people who he shouldn't be associating with for the good of his image amongst the right memorized and individuals like Fuentes or Richard Spencer at the top of that list, the fact that he apparently can't is inexcusable.

Furthermore, his unhinged rhetoric regarding how he should have torched the constitution in response to his loss last election is inexcusable in my eyes, I don't care if Jesus Christ himself came down and declared Trump the most winningest candidate in U.S. history nothing excuses that as a response.

I saw mention of that and I went, what unhinged garbage, who would say that? Well apparently Trump would. Fuck that guy, I don't care if he pisses off a lot of people - he's garbage. Why the hell would I would I want anything to do with this for a candidate? This is where we are now? The GOP is fine with this? This whole country is going down the shitter because our leaders lack brains and principles but there has got to be a better candidate for 2024.

Trump is not saying terminate the Constitution, rather, "a stolen election has already subverted it, and it must be corrected without consideration for following "the rules" because you can't beat a cheater playing by the rules."

I didn't make a judgment about it. I just addressed your "that's not what he said at all," because that's exactly what he said.

That is terrible optics if you want moderates to vote for you, and if you have any desire at all to win an election, you have to win over some moderates.

Bullshit don't equate two different issues here. For starters if massive election fraud happened to the point the people felt the need to make a popular uprising without goading for a candidate to ensure what they saw as the clear winner ascended to the presidency that's a different scenario than what Trump was arguing.

Please note, I am not arguing that election fraud did or did not happen, or that nothing should be done about it I am arguing that no president regardless of circumstance should ever even jokingly suggest torching the constitution and that the leeway the founders envisioned when they said.

The founders believed that when a despotic government arose it was the will of the people to replace said government and the problem is you are falsely equating Trump's will with the people because you feel he has a popular mandate, however if Trump suspended the constitution and blatantly used the army to seize power then it has nothing to do with the 'will of the people' and everything to do with himself because while he may have been given the popular mandate to be president by the people he wasn't in regards to abolishing the constitution.

The constitution is the one thing in this country that I feel has never steered me wrong despite the Dems constant attempts to undermine it, Trump even suggesting it be suspended for his sake alone has lost me in a way I have never felt in politics before.

I do not advocate the wholesale slaughter of those whose political or social positions are personally repulsive either. However, I do not expect the same courtesy in turn. I have also become skeptical of achieving victory through legitimate means; every scandal or flagrant subversion of the law receives calls for justice, the people in power simply lie or obfuscate while smiling for a camera, and their opponents merely grumble "we'll get them next time they make a mistake."

Yeah, I was a little heated. I'm still not going to vote for a Democrat.

I will do the same. Try to beat him in the primary and go vote for a libertarian in the general just to make the numbers show people are still voting, just not for him.

The problem is that people think that freedom can come from the federal political system. It won't. Freedom will come from local political action, and disruptive social and economic changes. No law ended the MSM's monopoly on truth, it was the internet and decentralization. This goes similarly for everything else.

I understand why they do given the rules which establish the system have explicit solutions, but I also agree that it is nigh impossible since those holding the book don't care about what is written. I question the potency of local action - though certainly not its virtues - because I believe everything has become too decentralized and everyone too radicalized; though we agree on many points, diverging on a few seems enough to justify breaking away and forming a competing group. It challenges the status quo, but I am afraid it is extremely vulnerable. I don't think any of us want to be rolled over by another group that just happened to collect enough momentum, even if we share most of their viewpoints.

I hate to break it to everybody but Abraham Lincoln did way more than Trump suggested back during the US Civil War. And we are still here and not in Gulags. Just saying.
