So, with the news that Trump is thinking about embracing mail-in-ballots to try and beat the Democrats/Deep State at their own game, I’ve had a horrible thought.

Putting aside the fact that I think the Right should be focused on tightening up election security by mandating no mail-ins outside of military and nursing homes (and even then steps should be taken). And that photo identification should be mandatory for voting. And all votes should need to be counted on the same day.

I worry that by embracing mail in booting, Trump and the Right will play right into the hands of our opponents. Not only do they get to call us hypocrites but this could easily be a win-win situation for them.

If election security isn’t tightened or can be reversed at the last minute by activist judges like in the mid-terms, the Democrats/Deep State have a fair chance of repeating 2020 with voting fraud.

If he does go with mail-in-ballots, then I think Styx’s comparison of taking the Ring and trying to use it to defeat Sauron is alarmingly apt. As that level of mail-in-voting has now been normalized, which makes ballot manipulation by from both sides of the establishment isle easy to do. Which could screw things up for populist even more.

No, this is just Trump realizing mail-in voting for the public at large is hear to stay, and the GOP is better off adapting to it (via putting the ballot boxes in churches, gun ranges, etc) so the Dems do not have sole control over the ballot boxes or their drop off locations.

Some amount of in-person voting will probably always be around, but trying to drastically limit mail-in voting, instead of adapt to and secure it for themselves, has only hurt the GOP in reality.

The game isn't going to change, the GOP is going to have to adapt, or fade away like the Whigs.

The issue is that there is no way to pass election security and overhaul now because the 2022 were also fucked and sabotaged, and Arizona has had so much stolen it isn't even funny. So if the right insists on no mail in voting it will just mean no possible way to win. But if they do push for it then they have a chance.

each state has control of their elections. each state sets their rules. the GOP's job is to win at enough of these based on the rules of the state. if the rules say no mail in? then fine. if they allow it we need to hammer them however we can to get out and vote.

Or if it's needed just have election stations set up on the base itself? Like because of Covid more mail in ballots were given then ever before, before the 2020 election you had to have a reason to have a mail in ballot. Because of the excuse covid gave them the democrats were able to give it to pretty much everyone. Some people don't want to accept the fact that we are the minority and our ideas our not popular, I don't care popularity does not determine if it is good or not. But these people don't like to think of that because they love democracy so much so they said that the election was stolen. There was not any more election fraud in the 2020 election than other previous elections. It's the mail in ballots that was the cause of the loss. If Trump used federal power and stated that mail in ballots are invalid and won't be counted he could have won.

No, you can't. Soldiers retain their residency despite where they are stationed. Almost EVERY soldier, sailor, airman and marine require absentee balloting.
