Yes. And not just Trump. There was an entire cast of characters. The Perennial Loyalists like Ben Carson, Rudy Giuliani, Mike Pompeo, Alex Azar, Steve Mnuchin, the Hebrewdar Jared Kushner, Sarah Huckabee-Sanders, and Jason Miller etc) plus the new Foundings like CHAD WOLF (what a name), Richard DICK Grenell (okay not as awe inspiring) and Mark Meadows.
Plus you have the first of Trumps fallen, like the Warrior-General Jim Mattis and his coterie such as Mark Kelly and folx like Jeff Sessions (strong in name, weak in spirit), Nikki Haley, and Rogue Trader Rex Tillerson.
Then of course... there's the Chaos Fomented Schism know as the Great Insurrection which saw the sudden betrayal of many of Trump's most loyal Primarchs, like William Barr, General Mark Milley and the once beloved Deputy himself, Mike Pence who wasn't willing to sacrifice everything to save the Grand Old Republic, yielding it to the forces of Chaos. 😞
Plus you have the ruthless Torturer Gina Haspel, the feckless puppeteered domestic spymaster Christopher Wray, and the loathsomely mustachioed Neo-Con(queror), John Bolton.
Then beyond that you have the forces of Chaos itself who possess an evil even a dimension above such petty traitors such as Mitt Romney, Crying Adam Kinzinger and the Lesbianic Liz Cheney. Crooked Devil Hilary Clinton, whom he has dedicated his life to locking up, Da Nang Dick Blumenthal, Al Frankenstein, Evita Ocasio-Cortez, Adam Schitt and of course... Gretchen Half-Whitmer.
So any Trumpverse Setting couldn't be a direct port or analogue to Warhammer 40K for example. There'd be a lot more nuance and difference. And we can see that right from the beginning with the immediate cast of characters. But it can still be heavily inspired by it.

I think like Battletech, there'd be phases to the timeline as well.
You'd have the Lost Golden Age of course, based on what we know of Humanity prior to 1990K or thereabouts.
Then the Dark Age of Decadence which lasted centuries... at least from the 1990s til the 2016K or so era.
Followed of course by the Populist Rise of Trump as Emperor of Humanity and the turbulent first years where he was beset by many enemies, from within and without, even AFTER he rose to the Throne.
Then the great tragedies struck, first a Plague from a Far Off Alien Land unleashed upon the Universe. This was followed by the "Summer of Love" a cruelly ironic name for the Chaos Demonrat Inspired Domestic Rebellions that Swept Across Humanity as Chaos invested in and embraced the schismatic ideologies praising iconoclasm, immorality and inferiority, all in the name of progress.
It can then peak with the massively corrupt swamp of bureaucracy, fueled by Chaos, attempting to remove Trump from power and placing a sycophantic, cackling and mentally enfeebled meat puppet of a pretender on the Throne but when Kamala Harris proved unpopular, they installed Sleepy Joe Biden instead. A peaceful, populist rally rose up to challenge the coup, but in that moment, the faith and will of many of Trumps stalwart loyalists fell away. Many of his armies and fleets abandoned him and a Great Darkness swept over Humanity again.
Will it ever recover?
So you can play in the stages of the Populist Era of Trump where he's a rising force with lots of support or the current Indomitus Era where the rightful Emperor Trump after being abandoned by so many that lacked faith in his vision is trying to reclaim his Throne EVEN IF HE HAS TO BURN THE SACRED CONSTITUTION to Keep Humanity Great!
