United States Trump 2nd Term - Planning and Beyond

Ubermensch is the word an Atheist German came up with because he was unwilling to use the word "Messiah"
I think it's more comparable to "enlightenment" in the Far Eastern sense, as it's supposed to be a culmination of personal achievement (as much as the rampaging materialist individualism can be considered an "achievement") rather than a guiding figure.

  • The DOGE co-leader criticized the Pentagon's F-35 program and $841 billion budget last month.
  • "Cool," Musk said in response to Sanders' remarks.
Elon Musk has a new supporter in his push to rein in government spending — Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont.

"Elon Musk is right," Sanders said of Musk's criticisms of the Defense Department's spending in an X post published Sunday.

Not sure if I fully trust either of these people but it's nice to see bipartisanship between the right and left.

Chad Chronister, Trump's DEA nominee, has dropped out of consideration like Gaetz. Looks like this will be no great loss though, as Chronister turned out to have been a woke Never-Trumper and active Democrat donor who had a record of harshly enforcing COVID mandates & lockdowns while supporting DEI and being an enabling pussy on BLM & illegals. Bizarre that such a character was nominated in the first place, guess Trump & crew didn't do an iota of research on this guy and thought he'd be a great pick because he's named Chad and comes from Florida or something.

The only decent reason I can think of is as a nod to the establishment that can then be removed when the conservatives flip out.

But that seems a bit... convoluted.

More likely someone told Trump they would be a good pick, Trump went with it, conservatives blew up, Trump looked into it and pulled support from the guy and is annoyed at whoever told him to nominate him as it's now causing unnecessary drama and distracting from the dems implosion.

Elon is a tucking idiot on defense.
Elon's main concern is preventing the extinction of humanity and preserving the light of consciousness via making humanity a multi-planetary species. He wants to avoid large scale conflicts that could spill over into nuclear war, and he also thinks the age of drones is going to render many manned combat systems obsolete.

Musk may help the US DoD via SpaceX and Starlink, but he's not someone who views 'defense concerns' as a priority over avoiding conflicts that could doom civilization/remove the stars from humanities grasp, possibly forever.

The US DoD is also very slow to admit when it's wrong, if the wrong choices keep lining the right pockets, and I think drone+AI are going to be the next Maxim gun in terms of affects on military planning and strategy, and I think that's what Musk is seeing too.

Musk just doesn't see the possibility of an optionally manned system, where F-35's may be able to be used as large drones themselves eventually, while still have equipment for a pilot if needed/desired.
