So the 1920s, in true Enlightenment thinking tradition, effectively put a name to something that's been around for thousands of years?
Basically yeah, the name "nuclear family" was invented circa 1925 but the family type had been the norm for at least 700-odd years in England at that point, and several thousand going off Genesis 2:24's description and archeological evidence.
 
The past is fucking huge, unbelivably huge, and varried and people have been running social experiements and doing things and having adventures whole of human history. When you look at it as a whole with an open mind, you either gain a sense of respect for the people of yesteryear and their struggles, or your driven mad by the shear size of it.

I think I'm definitely the latter at this point. I've just gotten so sick of humans at this point the idea of something like robots or part human part squid people becoming the dominant species, or better yet the undoing of creation itself almost seems welcoming. At this point I'm sick of hearing about gospels or messages or philosophies. I just want to punch in work my 9:00-5:00 punch out and watch stupid movies about pigs flying.
