If the Senate agrees, then I'm packing my most important shit and I'm seeking asylum in the Russian embassy.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
That's actually a good idea. Russia likes taking in political asylum seekers from western countries, makes them look better to their own people if they have foreigners talk shit about democratic countries.

I kind of wonder how far the Canadians have to be pressed before they turn violent. They have been extremely patient so far, and the government's violence has been escalating quickly in recent days.

Yep, we're undeniably in deep shit now. Gonna have to give my relatives in Georgia a call.

Give it a couple more weeks or months, when a lot more people have had the 'pleasure' of feeling Trudeau's fist clenching around their wallets and/or the RCMP knock on their door at midnight for thoughtcrime, online or otherwise. Guy's lost the popular vote twice in a row and nevertheless insists on acting like he has the Mandate of Heaven, and he's done literally nothing but double down & tyrannize in the most self-righteous, self-fellating ways imaginable while all the provincial premiers are running away from COVID authoritarianism (and authoritarianism in general) at breakneck speed because they can tell where the wind's blowing. I firmly believe that this is far from over, and the tighter Trudeau squeezes, the harsher the blowback will be.

The problem is, said blowback may end up resulting in other western countries sending troops into Canada to "restore democracy"; i.e. keep one of their fellow oligarchs in power, and disabuse their peasants of the notion that they can ever hope to rise up against them.

There are still some lawsuits going through the Canadian courts. I would advise waiting to see how those go before anyone does something drastic.

I don't think the US population would stand for that. Doing so is pretty much begging for the conflict to come south. A American Civil War might pass Canada by but a Canadian Civil War where the USA sends troops up to side with the unpopular regime? That is asking for trouble.

Hell, it would be trouble even if it was a popular regime, the border up there is a lot more porous and people would want payback for interference. In this case? It would destroy any semblance of legitimacy the USA still has on the eyes of a good 40% of it's pop and it would lead to it coming south.

The question is: Are they delusional enough to ignore that?

I'm well aware, discussed it while wargaming an entirely hypothetical populist uprising with some of my friends last year actually, on an occasion where Doug Ford was so kind as to relax COVID restrictions on indoor dining (temporarily, back then he hadn't been spooked by the Freedom Convoy and the challenge of getting re-elected yet). In that eventuality, we came to the conclusion that if things got that far, there's really not a whole lot we (or any other Canadian who doesn't enjoy living under a dictatorship) can do to avoid becoming a red smear under an Abrams tank's treads.

To be frank, I think this struggle is going to be a marathon rather than a sprint, and it's not one Canadians can run alone. In the event that Joe Biden orders American troops into Canada at Trudeau's request to stomp more freedom-loving Canadians into bloody mush, I would appeal to all Americans with a soul to do whatever they can to help push back against it. And I don't even necessarily mean engaging in fedposting IRL - write to your congressman, fight to shore up election integrity at home so you can elect a government that will be more reluctant to do as the Soviet Union did to Hungary in 1956 and Czechoslovakia in 1968, etc.

They took in Snowden.

They will take in me, hopefully.

I mean, if their new sites and newspapers want to interview me, I'll be more than willing to talk shit about Turdeau-Castro and his fellow WEF cronies.

And it is so cheap to live in Russia compared to Ottawa.

Even though I'm a rather poor university student, I can still afford to live there for quite a while.

I had to send my letter to Pierre Poilievre as an email due to time constraints.

If the worst happens and Trudeau's Gestapo try to get me because of the letter, I'm heading to Russian embassy in Ottawa and seeking asylum there.

The enemy of your enemy is your friend.
I sent an e-mail to the governor general, giving my vote for a non confidence vote. If this doesn't work out, then I would go offline for a very long time.

Although I wonder if Donetsk and Luhansk are taking in political refugees at the moment.

I wouldn't go there because Canadian supplied munitions might just start landing on your head at any minute, courtesy of the Ukrainians.

And they're evacuated people there to Russia proper.

Just regular Russia should be good.

Yeah, and I'm not sure if Ukraine proper would be a good place to relocate as a potential refugee. Russia proper does sound promising, although not sure about Kazakhstan, and unlike Ukraine and Russia, I know a friend who currently lives in Kazakhstan.

So, how long does everyone think it’ll take Castro Jr. to unperson and debank the MPs that voted against the Emergencies Act?

My money is on a week. Tops.

What? And give up the chance we've been waiting three hundred years for? To finally get revenge on the loyalists that fled to Canada, seizing their lands for ourselves!

They like famous people the most, or those with followers. Snowden was famous, Richard Spencer was sheltered too if I remember correctly.

I have to agree with Zachowon, Snowden did sell US state secrets to Russia, in addition to blowing the whistle on the whole surveillance crap.

More importantly, how long until Doughboy makes it illegal to oppose the Great Reset and the whole globalist ideology? I'd say less than a week.

So this was a depressing, if not unexpected turn of events. I lol at the idea of the Canadian Senate not rubberstamping this. They exist as patronage appointments and not to actually challenge anything.

I would state it'd be better to claim asylum in the US more than anything. If you haven't done so already (I started after Valentines Day), drain your accounts. Especially if you donated or went to Ottawa (and I did both so fuck you Trudeau). Do not show confidence in the government right now, or the banks.

I end my response with this:

Canada is not yet lost! Long live Canada!

Don't give up. Trudeau wants you demoralized and fearful. If you have a rally in your town or you live close to a provincial capital, protest. Quebec City and Toronto have had weekend parties. Go have fun. Stick a small Canada flag on your car. Do not kowtow to Trudeau's pathetic tyranny.

I hear that New Mexico might offer asylum to Canadians, although if I had to choose, Texas and Florida would be my preferred destination. But how could I legally claim asylum in the US?

No evidence of that has ever been presented; and no, "just trust me guys, he totally did" and "it's Russia" doesn't count.
You do realize he thinks that everything, ranging from hurricane levels in the USA to him having diarrhea/constipation is the result of a Russian plot, right?
Probably sneaky Putler sneaking in and tampering with his canned beans and rainwater to deprive him of that time-honored infantryman's delight called fart burning. :ROFLMAO:
INB4 he starts claiming that Jordan Peterson is a deep cover Russian agent.

Anyway, back on topic:
