Beth Griswold was watching the Pilipino drama loving yours, Helen hosted by Helen vela once the show
was over she watched her husband George Forsyth on t.v. giving a speech. Polls through out the state of California showed Los Angeles
Mayor Tom Bradley mict win the Democratic governor primary and become The successor of Edmund Brown who after two terms as the golden state's governor was running for u. s. senator of ,California.
Duel's friend, Alan Alda gave a personal endorsement for George Forsyth in a rally in San Francisco.
Both Alan Alda and Pete Duel often traveled together as Duel gave his campaign speeches and Duel remembered his former rival for the 76 senate primary
John Tunney and his defeat in 74 made him even more determine to win the 82 primary for Governor and General election in the fall.
Lieutenant Governor Mike Curb and George Duke mejjon were both vying for the nomination in the Republican primary .
Born in New York, Deukmejian moved to California in 1955. He was elected to the State Assembly in 1962 to represent Long Beach. Four years later he was elected into the State Senate and later served as the Senate's minority leader. In 1970,
Deukmejian unsuccessfully ran for Attorney General of California, finishing fourth in the Republican primary.
In 1978 he secured the nomination and defeated Yvonne Brathwaite Burke to become the state's 27th attorney general. As attorney general, he led a veto override against Governor Jerry Brown,
Once pete Duel came to his beachwood canyon home he thought of his days as a struggling actor finally getting roles in gidget as John Cooper and Hannibal Hayes in Alias smith and jones.

Nino Aquino had been serving in Philippines Senate since 1967, in 08 .21 1983 he narrowly avoided a assassination attempt on his life. A mere six years later he would succeed Marcus as leader of the Philippines.

Duel Thanked Him for the good words and Thought of 6 Years Earlier When He Lost The Nomination To Tunney Who Lost The General .knowing full well what its like to be on the other side. Now Alan Alda was his campaign manager who spoke to him the next day.

Beth Griswold got dizzy campaigning in the hot summer sun of 1982 and fainted.Finaly Peter Duel got the nerve to ask her to marry him and after he got on hand and knees she accepted.
Pete Duel would marry Beth once campaigning was done.
