This has been a good year for football. Neither the Patriots nor the Crimson Tide are in their respective title game, which means things are way more interesting than they have been for the past few years.

For once, it feels like the NFL playoffs can go absolutely bug nuts, which is great for everyone (except Pats fans).

They're so insufferable and victory-addled, I wonder if anything will get done at work Monday.

The fairweathing fangirling over Kirk Cousins shall continue for this Vikings fan! Clearly the best QB in the League... rose up 27 ranks in my book over the past two weeks... :sneaky:

Kansas City or SF?

I can’t ever imagine myself supporting SF... And KCS sort of seems like the scrappy never-quites each year so it’s nice to see them in the big game.

I guess I go for KC, as I don't want SF tying the Pats with rings (I am a Bostonian born and bred). But KC seems like they are starting a dynasty with Mahomes, so I might want to start hating them early instead of jumping on the hatewagon when they're good. At least the Packers lost.

Totally rooting for the Chiefs. Firstly, as a Seahawks fan, I loathe the 49ers. Also, I would love to see Andy Reid finally win the big one. If there is one coach that deserves it, it is him.

Gotta add one more to the chorus hoping for the Chiefs. As a(nother) Seattle fan, I am automatically obligated to frown on the 49ers by divisional/rivalry rules, and beyond that I much prefer the 'story' of KC winning the SB after the extended lockout they've had from victorious seasons.

Added to that, it's a lot more fun watching a QB who can/will run things like Mahomes does. Dude's impressive.

Chris Doleman passed at the age of 58, three days after his two year anniversary of being diagnosed with a form of brain cancer (similar to the one that afflicted John McCain).

He was a legendary defensive end with over 150 career sacks and ranked 5th in the NFL All Time Sack leaders. He was a s8x time Pro Bowler during his ten years with the Vikings and after returning to the Vikings in 1999 at the age of 38... Got eight more sacks that season.

Born in Philly but he resided in Atlanta during his final years. He seemed like a class act off the field and post retirement and had a delightful sense of humor. When he was given an honorary Vikings Helmet a few years ago said he wore it all the time in case he had a seizure and fell.

There's a lot of Seahawks fans on this forum... I guess we're just fated to take over!

Bahhh, one of these days the Cardinals will be back in the big dance and this time we'll get it done.

I want to say something nice here but since we're both NFC West.... Sorry, my friend, but your team is a laugh track.

That and throw on the one yard line.

I remain uncertain if I detested the Union President at work because I was in management and he was constantly coming at me, or because he wore a Patriots Super Bowl XLIX victory hat to work all the time.

That was so stupid we deserved it, though.

Big game today.

I want the Chiefs to win but think the 49ers will. Defenses are better then offensices as the Dads always say.

Also historically we know the 49ers defeated the Chiefs. Poor natives...

The halftime show wasn't very good, IMO. Don't get me wrong, it was hot, but they were trying to do way too much. So many songs, with just a few bars for each. Lady Gaga's was much better.

Huh I made that joke as well during the Superbowl. I had no idea.

I dunno, I enjoyed it. But I was easily pleased by Half Time shows though. Even last years. Then Twitter and critics told me otherwise and I felt sorry for my wrongthink. :(

Congrats to the Chiefs. I don’t think I have ever seen a team as comfortable when they are down double digits as the Chiefs are
