This is an actual album from the 1950s. The album cover has been censored enough for it to be "youtube-OK", so I think it's okay to share here*:

The album is quite tame compared to a lot of present-day music that gets radio airplay while still being very raunchy.

* If the censored album cover is still too explicit, I'm sorry.

Hello All,

I am creating this thread as a sort of resource guide for Music and any jazzy tunes you guys like. Rock, rap, classical, video game music, movie soundtracks, whatever. Sky is the limit. Let's keep it tasteful so if posting music videos nothing obscenely vulgar.

My first recommendation is Killswith: This Fire Burns.

Let's say it has inspired me.

Don't forget about the song It Don't Mean A Thing from Tyler Perry's 'A Jazzman's Blues'.

Is that a remake of this?

That's Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington.

And anyways ... here's a nice country song about the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain from the Confederate perspective. The video uses footage from a reenactment and the re-enactors are much better fed and equipped than Confederate soldiers actually were:

Born At The Wrong Time - Abney Park

I'm a stranger everywhere I go
From Washington to Tokyo
Angry eyes tell me I don't fit in
I smile back, but I cannot win

So I stand tall and face the scorn
It's not the place, but the time I was born
The road ahead may be filled with hate
But I know my path and I walk it straight

I was born, born at the wrong time
And I live here in the wrong time
I was born, born at the wrong time
And I live here in the wrong time

When I hear the countless voices whine
I can't believe it's even worth the time
I get angry for the things I see
This is not the way the world's supposed to be

So I stand tall and face the scorn
It's not the place, but the time I was born
The road ahead may be filled with hate
But I know my path and I walk it straight

I was born, born at the wrong time
And I live here in the wrong time
I was born, born at the wrong time
And I live here in the wrong time

I think there's not a place where I can go
But I'll be damned if I'll follow the flow
Angry minds have built an angry time
It seems the world is used to what was once a crime

So I stand tall and face the scorn
It's not the place, but the time I was born
The road ahead may be filled with hate
But I know my path and I walk it straight

I was born, born at the wrong time
And I live here in the wrong time
I was born, born at the wrong time
And I live here in the wrong time

I look back
I look forward
And I see
It all makes sense
