Eh I've always had a soft spot for adipose rex types. There is somthing intreaging about someone who is either so feared or so respected they don't have to move a muscle their subjects are more than happy to fight in thier name. course Large and in charge is always the best IE the protaganist/antaganist is lulled into a false sense of overconvidance thinking the guy is a blob...only to find the guy moves and hits like a mac truck.

Yeah he was kinda taken out pretty easy. I didn't have a problem with it per se... I assumed that Bib Fortuna inherited the palace and the criminal empire probably withered away a great deal. But yes, I do enjoy seeing capable crimelords. Kingpin of course is the prototypical example. But even Jabba was shown as competent. Not just in his resisting of the mind trick, but he did manage to capture Leia... and then even dropped Luke Skywalker into the Rancor pit without him knowing. If it wasn't for his desire for an amusing execution, he'd of solved the Empire's problems quite succinctly then and there.

Then again... he also wasn't smart enough to bet on Luke instead of betting against him.

Regardless. Jabba's security would've likely been more stringent then ol Bibby's. Luke had to stealth force choke a few Gamorreans to get inside and had a far larger and more eclectic retinue of scum protecting him. The place clearly needed new management.

My main problem is we haven't seen any badass Gamorreans yet. 😢

Grissom...

I actually had a fanfic idea where in episode V instead of going to Bespin Han and the gang go to Jabba and Leia willingly trades herself for Han and basically uses her postion to move up the ranks. Five years later Leia becomes a surggote daughter to Jabba and she's able to convince him to go to war with the empire, and it turns out that the Hutt's military might is on equal footing with the empire.

Jon Favreau himself has confirmed that the Book Of Boba Fett isn't Season 3 of The Mandalorian; it's a seperate series by the same creative team which will be produced back-to-back with Season 3 Mando.

Huh... I didn't realize people were assuming it was anything but that. :p

But I guess... good to know.

Hard to be badass when you're 1/3rd of a space BLT.

I'll never understand how people assumed that Book of Boba was gonna be season 3.

it's weird seeing a post credit scene in star wars

also spoiler ahead

Dang bib got ugly even by his standards.

Yeah I didn't know about it until the next day when I saw it on the Twitter. But Yeah it is kinda weird.

But I am digging how Star Wars seems to have more creative freedom with its IP on television then the weird segregation that plagued Marvel television on Netflix and ABC and it's Cable affiliates. Even Star Wars animation (even post Lucas) has been laid out way better then the mess of Marvel cartoons out there.

So...whatever happened to Bo's male teammate? Kinda weird how he just, vanished from existance.

I think you're reading too much into it. The random X-Wing pilots switched around as well the two times we saw them; only Dave Filoni's character was present both times, and the female X-Wing pilot was one of the ones who vanished.

Also, you're forgetting that Din was aggressively insistent on going alone, because he doesn't trust ANYONE but himself to go after Grogu.

Considering they probably ate the Stormtroopers at the end of RotJ, I'd say it's fair game.
It's implied and debated, but I'm inclined to think the ewoks nommed on those troopers. :ROFLMAO: If the rumours are accurate about the Sequel Trilogy being retconned into oblivion, we may see the Luke Skywalker we all expected/needed than Old Man Luke.

Hell, I'd love a television show with a deep fake Young Luke -- though, I wonder would artificially and digitally de-aging Mark Hamill work better than deep faking his appearance onto another actor?

In the Terminator movies, they used both techniques -- in Genisys and Dark Fate, they de-aged Arnold so that he looked a lot like his Terminator 2 appearance from the early 90's, but also used a body-double to superimpose his 80's appearance when Salvation's T-RIP, the Terminator 1 T-800 101 from Genisys, and another model of T-800 101 seen in Dark Fate's prologue came into play.

Hamill is pretty out of shape to do anything more than he did in TLJ. Better to just get a stunt guy with the right body type and have Hamill voice the lines with the CGI face.

I'll put something witty here eventually.

Random X-wing pilots make sense, because you know, pilot rotation exists.

Now sure, it can easily be dismissed as "reading too much into it", but it just seems very odd that he just up and, vanished. No word about him, they act as if he doesn't exist. Even an offhand "Where's your third member" when they walk into the bar or whatever would have sufficed. In-universe, it makes little sense.

Out of universe, it makes sense. Actor could have been unavailable. They felt they wanted to keep the group small for budgetary or cinematic purposes. Maybe they did it solely because they wanted the "girl power moment"(which was done way better then End Games, this was at least organic). Maybe they felt Axe would have been unnecessary to further the plot(but then so would Koska really). Or they wanted to wanted to limit time spent on "extras"

There are plenty of out of universe explanations why a character may or may not be present. Doesn't mean we can't question why it happened, especially since there is no in-universe explanation given at all. He seemingly ceased existing.

Its a shame since during the filming of TFA they got Mark Hammill back into shape with some exercise and stuff. I wish they id more with him then.

Though this might be expensive. It might be cost-effective to run a serious animated show instead.

I'd honestly kill for a high-budget animated series for Star Wars. I was 5 when the original animated clone wars show came out and that was sick. Grievous in there was actually a terrifying monster in there.

With how well produced a lot of anime is, Disney could probably do a Netflix and do a similar style animation like the Castlevania series and release a good show. A lot of the effects with things like the Jedi and Sith force powers would probably be better served with animation anyway.

I would argue that in universe, neither Din Djarin or Boba Fett is one for polite small talk. Din has severely mixed feelings about the Nite Owls to begin with and is only asking for their help out of sheer desperation to rescue Grogu; Fett doesn't give a shit.

There's also if you have to pick between Axe and Koska, the fact that there's a hand-to-hand fight with Fett strongly favors Koska, since her actress has real-life martial arts experience whereas the guy who plays Axe is only an actor and would require a stunt double.
