United States The Left Can't Meme

What's the sitch?

Today we're exploring The Right Can't Meme again, studying feminism and bad rightist memes.

I'm probably a bad person for laughing at this, I'm really not fond of fat shaming.

I can't even tell what they don't like about this one.

The left is so bad at memeing they can't recognize pedobear.

Not a meme, but I'm honestly not even sure why this triggered them. I thought it was a leftist comic at first glance. Near as I can tell from the comments, they were angry that the women were attractive.

Some of those were worth a chuckle, but I wouldn't call them memes, and I'm not sure if they were meant to be funny.

I think the last one is by the same guy that does other shock and or horror comics like the one where Biden steals a womans blackness for not voting for him. Still not a meme though,

Question: is it a bad thing if I can’t be bothered to read most of these memes all the way through?

I understand the value of “knowing thy enemy” and all, but considering how bad the Woke are at memetic outreach, there are times when I think it’s best to sit back and let 4chan veterans take them on. After all, they seem to have gotten by just fine without me cringing my way through Reddit or Twitter.
Eh, depends on the meme. I think most of us don't bother with reading all the way through wall o' text memes, but if you couldn't finish the Pedomouse one you might have attention span issues.

It's a bit of a problem browsing r/TheRightCan'tMeme. They seem to have trouble recognizing what a meme actually is so a lot of them are comics, twitter posts, or other random non-memes they disagree with.

To be honest, I nope’d right out of Pedomouse, when I first saw the line about exploring sexuality. I forced myself to read it later, though, and while it’s still a little disturbing, I got the point just fine.

… How do we define “meme”, in this case? Just GIFs, images, or videos with text intended to be humorous or witty, I presume — which long-ass Twitter threads on how Rosa Parks was actually genderqueer obviously aren’t. 😏

Hmm, now that you point it out, I really don't have a particularly rigorous definition of "meme" to go on. Probably need to work on that if I'm going to keep saying the left can't meme.

Honestly, I would call that one a good meme. It's actually short enough to work, gets it's message across, and isn't confusing.

The picture's totally unrelated but it does indeed look to be inspired by Advice Animals where that was a standard feature.

Okay, I really don't get some of the choices here. Why did they feel the need to label everything like "Sky," "Field," Football," and "Glove?" Also Marx's head is a terrible 'shop, and Marx himself was so incredibly racist there's no way he'd let a black person touch him.

They didn't even have the grace to edit out Ben Garrison's name, which, well, he wouldn't approve.

It's an attempt at parodying a Ben Garrison cartoon (hence keeping the name), minus the lack of any relevance right now. The labelling is because Garrison does tend to label everything. Not the worst I've seen by far.

The /pol/ edits are far better, they understand how to work their themes in. This is just a mess. They had a decent idea to start but failed very hard to execute it.

it also changes the theme by adding in so many people.

First one is one on one with the implication that it was a one on one even fight lost. Second one is at least 3 people and wow the blm guy looks like a racist charatature. Which very much implys trump willingly went into a 3-4 on 1 fight. And any one whos been in one of those that is not fun.

Here’s one that’s… not too bad, actually.

Short, concise, and not a Woke scold — which is certainly an improvement over most of the memes shared here. Only thing left to verify is how accurate it is, and while I’m sure there’s loads of fossil-fuel lobbying involved in climate policy, I doubt the legislation in question would be nearly as workable as the meme’s implying.
