The future Vladimir Lenin dies as a baby

What if the future Vladimir Lenin would have died as a baby? What would the effects of this have been on history? For instance, would there have been no Bolshevik-Menshevik split in this TL? Would Russia have thus avoided the slide into totalitarianism even if it would have still experienced a February Revolution-style event in the middle of a World War? Or would there have been some other totalitarian socialist faction willing and ready to take over Russia at a time of crisis in this TL?

Any thoughts on this?

How did they all know each other?

Were these 500 guys from organized crime? Enforcers or assassins for hire? Or ideological "scholars" and "agitators" who knew how to "physical" too. Bodyguards for Fortune 500 companies or bankers or millionaires? Or are you talking out of your hat?

Commies who knew how to fight.Enough to prevail in 1917 putch.
Lenin and his 20 friends send from Germany would not have a chance - especially, that Lenin was coward.

The Left SRs probably take power, avoiding the Civil War and the worst excesses of the Bolsheviks.

Why the Left SRs and not the Right SRs? Also, any chance of Russia becoming a democracy in this TL instead of a totalitarian dictatorship that doesn't even allow people to emigrate?

The Left SRs by mid 1918 seemed to be the main opposition to the Bolsheviks. Perhaps they wouldn't be without Lenin's influence, but it would seem to be to be the safest guess.
