What about the fact that the pro-mask people are calling anyone who disagrees with them a Karen? Because somehow not wanting to be controlled by other people makes you are Karen...who I am pretty sure are defined by their desire to exact control over other people and derive joy from this. Yeah, they assume that everyone is like themselves.
As for calling someone a "Karen" - well, we know that the state-worshipers don't use words like that for their actual meanings, but to express an emotion towards other people. They don't really understand what a Karen is. It's just another snarl-word for them.

To give them credit Karen is misused often as it is, and people misidentify it. Plus Karen is somewhat vague, I take it to mean a busybody woman of a certain age on, who seeks to control other people either consciously or subconsciously. I would wager your definition might be slightly different, albeit still similar in many regards.

It's used for anyone who complains about anything.

Calling someone a Karen because their complaints annoyed you? Now you're a Karen for calling someone a Karen...

It's fucking stupid.

It's just a way to say "shut up, I'm not having a discussion.". It's the same as "okay boomer."
