I know Fallout radiation is goofy . . . But I'd assume most of the mutated sea life is probably coastal, and concentrated near coastal cities just by virtue of said cities being targeted in the nuclear exchange. Once you get away from the coastline and start going into the ocean proper, I'd expect a lot of the sea life to be more or less normal.

The ocean is just too goddamn big.

Keep in mind that Red China is just one of three major Chinese factions. There are also the Neo-Imperials and the Republican Chinese. The Reds might have more important things to deal with than Japan. Or the Enclave for that matter.

The USA was one of the Western powers that humiliated them in the 19th century, spent a hundred years fighting over them in Cold War influence games, fought a ten year war where most of China was conquered and nuked the parts that weren't. They want to never see it rise again.

True, but that doesn't mean their other enemies aren't a factor. If the Reds send too much support to the NCR then that might weaken them enough that the Neo-Imperials and Republicans could take advantage.

This is all assuming that all three Chinese factions hate each other. In the extremely unlikely scenario that all three groups get along then everything I've speculated is nonsense.

The empire could potentially have a truce, but the republic in addition to being descended from Taiwan, is also descending from the US military so that means they are the enemy of the reds.

Well the Kaiser must be happy with a greater German empire and a broken France, even if it took a few more centuries than planned. Looks like the Middle East and central Russia got smashed so hard resettlement is still ongoing.

I assume that those crossed lines mean that Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and one of the French states are puppets of the Germans. Even if the treaty prevents them from conquering the areas outright that doesn't mean they can't puppet them.

But what's up with all those thin lines inside of Germany? Are those administrative sub-units or counties are something? And why are some white while other ones are red?
