Say, has fashion moved from the 50s? I was thinking that Enclave territory had pretty much everyone still wearing 50s styles and living in Stepford Suburbia’s

I have one question, How is Liberty Prime not confirmed beyond a doubt for the NCR? Not only do they probably have the US occasionally using it to boost up there Propaganda and intimidate cities into taking the Carrot, they also have BOS soldiers who fought in DC and we're working on the damn thing and Robert House who invented it in the first place.

Robert House didn't invent Liberty Prime. His company helped to build it as part of a joint project with General Atomics and the US Army, but it wasn't his baby or anything like that. I'd even say it's doubtful that he personally worked on it in any meaningful capacity.

House had already concluded that a nuclear war was coming before China had even invaded Alaska, and pretty much devoted his time to secretly preparing for it before Liberty Prime was even conceived of. Odds are pretty good that he was already in his special pod.

Maybe if he had worked on it personally it would have been ready in time for the liberation of Alaska.

That said, he should still be aware that Liberty Prime is real. But, well, House isn't willingly working for the NCR. They basically forced him to cooperate under penalty of death. It's entirely possible that they asked him if Liberty Prime were real, and he decided to feed the delusion that it was nonsense propaganda.

I'd expect a lot of things to get "interesting" when the US Army reaches the Vegas area. Assuming the Air Force doesn't decide to drop a bunker buster on the Lucky 38 or something.

@Navarro
Has the Enclave made it so that Pip-Boys are incredibly common gadgets every citizen uses?

I can see it as being part of the new fashion

Given that two heroes of theirs, the Lone Wanderer and Sole Survivor wear it

Isn't this clear to you? NCR military intelligence knows full well Liberty Prime exists.

Yes, the revived General Atomics corporation is making and selling pip-boys. Only the upper class and upper-middle class can afford cutting-edge ones though.

I get that, what I dont get is why Irivng and the rest of the Administration isn't informed of this, especially if he's the "expert" on the enclave.

Well NCR military did inform them, they just for some reason don't want to say their sources for some reason. I presume because either the rest of the administration might object the to the source's credibility, or because they don't want any possible extra chances the E-USA can figure out said NCR military intelligence's source by an intentional or unintentional leak that might have happen by telling the rest of administration the identity of the source.

Irving was writing to the civilian populace of the NCR, as an op-ed in a popular newspaper.

Who are the most deadliest soldiers in both the Enclave and NCR? Not just referring to entire units but what may amount to “Champions” or guys who are so Badass they’re used in propoganda for actual kills

The containment and coolant systems for a 5,000-degree-Celsius plasma beam moving at supersonic speeds are still a bit too bulky for Liberty Prime, sadly. Never mind two ...
I hope that even if the shoulder mounted fusion cannons are out they have at least managed to get a nuclear delivery system better than just having Prime chuck them downrange. Seriously did the robotics design team get into a feud with the weapon design team and shoot down their recommendations?

No, they just figured him throwing them like footballs would be very patriotic.

I like how it looks like the US is making it's weapons look closer and closer to Zetan weapon aesthetics.

All that study of alien tech is starting to pay off, hehe.

What kind of effectiveness increase are we talking about?

No molecular destabilisation effect but increased heat of the plasma compensates for that and less power needs to be dedicated to containment allowing for more shots per MFC.

Makes sense. The alien weapons have always turned people into ashes instead of turning them into goo.

Funnily enough, I was looking at the death animations in Fallout 1 and 2. It's interesting to see how things have changed.

In 1 and 2, laser weapons didn't turn you to ash. They just cut people in half. Severed limbs. That kind of thing. It was pulse weapons that turned someone to ash. The guns that basically shot lightning at people, not the EMP weapons of Fallout 3 and beyond. (Guns the Enclave had access to, btw.)

Plasma weapons melted all of your flesh into a puddle of gore, but left your skeleton intact. No green goo. Just a nice red puddle of melted flesh.

Basically I've put it so most laser weapons cause severe internal wounds from vaporisation of the body's water content and nasty burns where they penetrate the skin. Gatling lasers just blow right through you - heavy gatling lasers (the ones with charging barrels) make people explode in a rain of flaming chunks.
