One issue that seems to plague modern society, and particularly the internet, is an unwillingness or inability to see things from another point of view, and so they default to "well, I guess everyone else is just stupid/evil/etc". Since this forum is intended to try and fight that trend, I think one way to help do that would be to force posters to step outside their own comfort zone and debate an issue from another direction (this is, IIRC, exactly why debate classes assign sides at random, rather than letting people pick). So I made this thread.
The rules are simple. Each week or so, I'll post a new discussion topic, and anyone who wants to can argue for or against the idea. However, they must do so from the opposite position of whatever they really think.
