If i go to sea and claimed that i sea monster,it probably mean some strange wave or normal animal.
But veteran sailors who saw them must be right.

Now granted, a majority of those are going to be tiny nimals, it's simply easier for us to see a moose than to notice a new species of flea....
on land. The thing is, it's the opposite in the oceans. Abyssal Gigantism is a thing, when you reach the abyssal zone suddenly sea life starts taking the entire growth feat chain. On top of that, we've only managed to explore 5% of the deep sea floor, where things get really huge. There's a lot of space for weirdness down there.
The probability of really massive monsters in the deep sea we've never seen is very high. And we've seen some stuff...
