The rants in the comments section on that article are really hilarious - from whining about how those monstrous, evil, no-good GoPers unfairly demonise Dems, to claims that this totally isn't the same as those conspiracy theorists fixated on the street map of Washington D. Just when I thought we were through with playing The Hilter Code and hunting for hidden Nazi symbols in every bit of right leaning media. This is almost as dumb as that time they were complaining about this Trump facebook ad:

Which was immediately assumed to be a vile Nazi symbol that no one's ever heard of and could not in any way be anything else, such, oh, maybe an arrow pointing you toward the link right below it where you could donate to the campaign. But it's not as dumb as the time they tried to say a Trump campaign T-shirt that had an Eagle on it was clearly a nazi logo.

Like those previous freakouts, this is just partisan morons on twitter making random connections and an equally dumb, equally partisan media amplifying them. When the criteria is "anything that looks any symbol used by any element of this entire government, that government's military, the hate movement that spawned from that government, and anything 4chan has convinced gullible idiots is part of that movement".....it's going to pretty hard to not draw any such connections.

That really is VERY similar to a symbol used by the Nazis. The odal rune with serifs was ABSOLUTEY a Nazi symbol, and this stage IS the EXACT shape.

I've been thinking this was intentional from the beginning. Not that it was some republican conspiracy. But that it was intentional. Maybe just one guy thought they'd secretly slip in a Nazi symbol.

Anyways. I'm posting about this now, because I am Absolutely sure I was right.

I am certain it was intentional, and that it wa done by a left winger to make the GOP look bad.

I can believe that, actually, because the CPAC organizers would probably have no clue what they’re looking at. I’d wondered if it was a plant somewhere but thought it might have been on the CPAC side, then dismissed it because why would a lefty infiltrate CPAC just to pull a juvenile stunt like this?

Besides, I would find the Golden Trump Statues far more distasteful than a rune that maybe a few fringe idiots still recognize. Guys, don’t buy into the leftist hysteria. Keep in mind that over the course of a week we see thousands and thousands of shapes. We see thousands of shapes, some of which are geometric patterns, some look like letters, some are humanoid or animal looking, the shapes look like all kinds of things. Don’t you think it’s possible, even likely, that over the course of years you would occasionally see a shape that looks like one of the many symbols used by Nazis. Not even a symbol that represents Nazism, just one symbol on a uniform? Some military historian could probably make a list of hundreds of different shapes, symbols, or patterns that appeared on a Nazi uniform. Considering the fact that we see literally millions of shapes, don’t you think it’s really likely that at some point there would be an overlap?

Don’t you think that if you looked at enough clouds you’d see something that could be interpreted as a Nazi symbol? Are you going to think that God is a Nazi then? Or could it be that you’re pointing at that one Swastika shaped cloud and ignoring the billion other vague shapes you’ve seen previously.
