No. I just read the article.

Slutty speedruns aren't really my thing... plus I didn't even know they were a thing until now.

And most importantly, I'm waiting on playing Cyberpunk 2077 for another few months I feel... until they actually finish the game nice and proper. :p

At that point though, why not just use console commands to finish the entire game in seconds? Personally, I have no respect for speed runners who use glitches and/or cheats to beat a game; because they're not even playing it anymore, just trying to break it.
Studying something and then applying it relying on your own reflexes is different than typing in a command.

Glitches aside, it looks like there are many fun weird stuff you can do....like driving in a car, bumping into someone, crashing out of the car and shooting the guy you bumped into with a shotgun

A group of twelve speedrunners invested almost a year of their lives into pulling off a thirteen minute speedrun of the game going backwards level by level.

Thanks to their plotting they were able to skip entire sections, use save game exploits to regain health and bunnyhop backwards so fast it might actually feel like the game was being played backwards.

Here's a trailer... A fraction as long as the speedrun itself.

Karl Jobst uploaded a video on a new record breaking speedrun in the NES Classic Super Mario Bros.

Fourteen years ago a speedrunners broke the five minute threshold to beat the game. Ever since then, considering speedrunners have had forty years to optimize their runs, only five seconds have been shaved off.

But now a speedrunner got below to a 4:54 (.97) speedrun and so this video goes over the history of speedruns for this game up to this point.

In an apparent first for speedrunning, a gamer named "UnNameD" managed to beat Grand Theft Auto V without taking any damage. He ensured this by using a mod which results in his characters death if it does take any damage.

Only took him 48 tries...

His achievement even got some press recognition though sadly it seems to be related to some pathetic YT drama nonsense.

Just to bump this up, a Fallout Anthology run popped up in my recommendations.

A Fallout Anthology run involves playing through Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 4.

The video in totality is about two and a quarter hours long and while its not a record breaking speedrun, the main speedrunner, named tomatoangus provides some really fun and off the cuff commentary about the tips and techniques and glitches etc that he takes advantage of while playing through all of these games as well as flexing some impressive Fallout lore knowledge and of course amazing gameplay (and clipping) skills.

Apparently a cheat code for Super Punchout on the Super Nintendo was just uncovered after literal decades.

Theorized it was a forgotten developer code.

Different kind of Speedrun... Mainly in avoiding two famous NPC's in Fallout: New Vegas who will pursue you relentlessly given the right parameters met.

The challenge is to beat the game without either of them dying or catching and interacting with you. Also no using of fast travel.
