So Poland's new Prime Minister is a badass Karate champion.

Her name is Lidia Sobieska and she's a Karate Master who hails from a political family and adversary of the ruthless Mishima Zaibatsu. When her homeland comes under threat from Heihachi Mishima and his Tekken Force, she took up the mantle of Prime Minister of Poland so she can presumably solve the oncoming problem with 'aggressive negotiations.'

"Lidia has always been an upright and resolute woman. She believes that justice requires absolute power, which is why she has shown great interest in karate from a very young age. The loss of her father stoked her interest in the family tradition of politics. Lidia showed great qualities in both areas, entering and winning her first karate world championship at 18, and more recently being one of the youngest rising stars in the Polish political arena. The war started by the Mishima Zaibatsu is greatly affecting Poland and she is committed to settle the situation with her own fists.
After the Tekken Force arrived into parts of Poland, the Polish citizens cried out for a stronger leader and Lidia answered that call!"

Lidia Sobieski's moves were motion captured by legendary Shotokan Karateka Tatsuya Naka but have a lot of similarity and inspiration from other Karetakas such as Rika Usami's Shito-Ryu.

Tekken 8 Opening Movie.

Jin and Kazuya's duel can't beat a volcano, but the middle of a rain storm works well enough I suppose.

In case you need an update on the story and don't have time to watch a two hour lore video on it, celebrated Hollywood film actor Brian Cox can help you if your last frame of reference for the series was Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

Oooo lotta cliffhangers in this series!

Tekken 8 perhaps surprisingly has a distinct lack of guest characters so what is interesting is that Katsuhiro Harada (the Game Director/Chief Producer of Tekken 8) actually got on Twitter to respond to many of the random requests and desires from fans and others about potential guest characters to bring into Tekken and thusly giving some insight into how guest characters can come about, be chose and just ultimately work out or don't work out.

He seemed to take the fandom desires and tear harvesting with good humor as he explained how to "unlock" characters people wanted to play... like Tifa Armstrong.

Very high difficulty skill to unlock many of these characters as he details...

Also discussed...

Dominic Toretto, Vin Diesel's character from the Fast & Furious movies.

Ichiban Kasuga from Yakuza.
