Malinovka, or Campinovka.

I used to have the replay on my old PC. Was in my TOG, top tier. EVERYBODY on my team decided to camp the field and snipe. So I decided to trundle around to the hill, to at least try and accomplish something.

I get there... no enemy tanks. I trundle down the other side into the forest... no enemy tanks... they were all lined up waiting to snipe any of our guys who got impatient.

I keep on trundling, avoiding the cap circle (TOG is allergic to enemy cap circle!) and lit up their entire firing line, resulting in mass carnage and much rage as they started accusing us of hacks and such. I never bothered to shoot, because I was farming assist damage, and waited until right near the end to announce 'TOG SCOUT BEST SCOUT!'

T95 down the middle when it is high tier in some of the older versions. Scouts enemy and gets the medal for taking so many hits without damage

Big gun for a small package! 😋

Did you know they are working on a new tank with the Germans?
Yep, to be fair pretty much everyone is working on new tank designs these days. Well everyone but the UK and the Israelis. To be fair the Merkava IV is probably the most modern western tank design currently in production what with it being pretty much a totally 21st century design. The US is still deciding on whether or not another another Abrams variant is a good idea or should we get an entirely new design

... which will look like an Abrams because the Abrams shape is the best for MBTs using composite armor.

Mind you with the advantage of an entirely new hull I expect advances in material science will make it significantly lighter(ie at least 5 tons) than the Abrams. After all at its core the Abrams was designed in the 70s and we've come a long way since then

-US
-Another Abrams Varient

Until there is a change in what can make armor stronger then what we currently have, there is no changing of the tank, just more Abrams.

If nothing else I suspect that the next tank design be it an Abrams variant or a new design will get a new turret to accommodate a bigger gun if need be. At the bare minimum I suspect an upgrade to the 120mm L/55 will be done

True, especially since we've got what is essentially Endosteel coming out in force. Having a base metal framework with the metal composite foam strapped to it would make it pretty light yet durable indeed.

I've also read an article a while back that one of the upgrades would replace the copper wiring which would shave five tons... at least from what I remember.

Given that Endosteel is a thing, we might see just a thicker version of Battletech armor in the future. ;) /semi-joking.

Most likely same design bigger turret.

Just means Abrams design with even more armor!

Soviets made interesting prototype heavy tank Obiekt 279/https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwixq5jas9XrAhXQlYsKHYBPDVUQFjAAegQIAhAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FObject_279&usg=AOvVaw3Uq-goQv71l4e4OBiT8TTK/
60t,130mm gun,thick armour,and four caterpillars
It would be very useful/with new gun and armour/ even now.

True a bigger turret seems like the easiest solution to any upgrade in firepower that's needed. As for more armor I suspect that about half the potential weight savings will go into this with the rest being used to make a lighter tank that's easier to use tactically, strategically, and logistically due to less wear and tear and thus requiring less maintenance, not needing as strong as bridges, and of course use less fuel. I also suspect that some of the extra weight will go into increasing the ammo storage area to enable a bigger gun to carry the same amount of ammo as the current gun does. Mind you I suspect that if we go for a bigger gun its autoloader time. Mind you I suspect we'll do what the French do and have the 4th man in an APC with a couple of those per company of tanks so they can help with maintenance and sentry duty(among other tasks) and enable crew rotations

The US needs to come to grips with the auto-loader, a much smaller crew and generally better combat automation. They should consult the navy's SPY1D system for the concept of networked targeting tech.
