The ASEAN Nightmare
10 Years P.P.C (Post-Paradox Cascade), days after the Time-Space collapse.

With the fall of the Primordial God Unicron: A reality Warping Blackhole is unleashed, rising from the bones of this mad primordial and threatening to consume both Cybertron and Earth! Triggered by the death throes of the Chaos-Bringer, a fissure in the fabric of reality was torn, bursting forth a doorway to the Forty-Third millennium. A time of discordant atrophy and decay, a time of unending war, where the laughter of thirsting gods echoes throughout reality as billions upon billions die each day. Thrown to the winds by these concurrent cataclysms, our heroes and villains find themselves forced to create new alliances.

On Earth once united by threats both from within and without, disarray and discord have created a new era, one where jackals and predators and ambitious men reign and their webs of deceit clutter all. Within the Shadows a displaced nation, devoured by bitterness and defeat collaborates with the alien menace, while my people the lamented and benighted Cybertronians have been reduced to but a shadow of their former glory... Pushed into near-extinction by aeons of war, becoming little more than squatters and refugees hiding out in lonely corners of the world, wishing to be forgotten and waiting for the end...

Yet even after all the devastation and woe my kind was put through, there is still one who seeks to bring the war to a final close in his favor and become ruler of Cybertron, heedless that in the end, his only subjects would be naught but Dust and Echoes...

Yet, all seemed not to be lost for the Earth, for heroes, paragons of their respective peoples rose to fill in the void and depravity and fought for a time, forging new coalitions and beating back the darkness. For a time.

However, even the mightiest of champions may only hold back the night for so long. As the roar of chaos blighted the multiverse, the baleful and bestial of many realities brought their sorrows and tribulations to all! A foolish conflict over something as primitive as an orbital elevator led to a calamity that somehow upset the delicate state of reality even further, in all my life I’ve seen nothing like it.

For the hubris of Kai Katsuragi and the civilizations of his Earth, a ceaseless vendetta against a rival faction's space elevator led to a convulsion across the cosmos that further upset and distorted creation.

On Earth, Two wayward factions have been thrown about by the cosmic spasm; The first, a task force recruited to reconquer lands stolen from mankind by a race of Subterranean Reptiles called the Dinosaur Empire, and extraterrestrial beings dubbed the BETA. The violence of the time-space collapse has left both sides scattered and broken. The Human defenders are left to flee from the vengeful remnants of the Dinosaurs' forces even as they too withdrew, recognizing that there was no victory to be found in wake of such a catastrophe; only the dead, only a blasted, howling wasteland where life would never return.

The Second of these Terran belligerents is a loose coalition of renegades and rogues working at the behest of shadowy carrion eaters of whose true identities and motivations I sadly could not divine even with all my power and knowledge, their deeds have ranged from villainy to indirect heroism; their last battle with a surreal cult of worshippers of a terrestrial Feline predator in a desperate attempt to clear their names has come to an unexpected halt, their members scattered across the vastness of Africa by chaos-storms and with virtually no reliable method of communication between their number; much to the dismay of their benefactor.

The cult however had come relatively unscathed from the storm, their survival galvanizing their faith in their god, but they did not lie idle in their stroke of good fortune as they dispersed across the jungles and the plains, into deep caves and ancient temples that even my sight could not penetrate, where they lick their wounds, arm themselves and make dark pacts with whatever otherworldly horror is listening, knowing that their enemies would inevitably return...

A third group comes as well and is perhaps, in the most harrowing of situations, buffeted by cataclysm, these warriors were sent far from their course, their original objective laying beyond their reach they soon found themselves at the mercy of Unicron’s former heralds. Scattered, confused, and relentlessly pursued by the spawn of a dark god, they desperately sought to reunite and liberate those they once sought to rescue from the clutches of an alien race that fed off the suffering of other beings. But even now, other extraterrestrial factions seek to advance on the solar system, citing the hellish commune the aliens had carved out on a series of space colonies as evidence of an apparently easy conquest. Some seek to bring salvation, the others, destruction.

Reality is in a state of flux the likes of which I have never witnessed, not in nine billion years of life. Events have changed, some have been erased, origins and beings are different, history has been set and reset, as reality itself endures the agony of rehabilitation. Never have the stakes been greater, for gods are dying, gods are being born, men are now supermen, and heroes and villains may soon find themselves interwoven into the cosmic hierarchy, opportunity for salvation and damnation, for new beginnings and the eternal entrapment of old grudges are now open to all...

Primus forgive me...

I am Vector Prime, one of the thirteen. The right hand of Primus and chronicler of all existence, time’s scribe. And I have failed in my mission to contain the Paradox Cascade.

But even in my failure...

Hope sparks still in the dark of night…

Welcome to Super Robot Wars: Paradox Cascade! As you can tell from the opening crawl above, this is closer to the older SRW games (And the Alpha series) in terms of themes and storyline, where it is a race against time to save everything from being destroyed.

However, in terms of characters, themes, and mechs; there are practically no limitations on who or what you can pick. If it's tangentially related to mecha, it's still acceptable! Even fighter aces and the likes of Iron Man are fair game!

(Mostly the property of Super Robots, what kind of character defining attack you have? It can be a flashy finishing move or a combination of various attacks. If your mecha has energy attacks that aren't connected to any weapons, they belong here)

____________________________________________

Okay, further sentiments about the Stats.
They are here for us to get a relative estimate on each other's powers, including their general strengths and weaknesses.
Also helps to resolve cases when two people are arguing who's the faster, more powerful and etc.
Furthermore I plan to write stats for most of the opposing mechs so you'd get a general idea on the enemy.

On the other hand don't expect me to be a hardass about these. If Mech A has the firepower of 50 while Mech B has the armor of 60, that doesn't mean Mech A's attacks are useless.
Quite far from that. It just means Mech A needs to put in more effort in their attacks. Maybe by scoring many hits or using a charged attack.

Writing and RP-ing always takes priority compared to the stats.
They're a roleplaying aid, not a rule.

The image doesn't belong to me, i just edited it a little for story purpose.

Gender: Male.

Age: 25.

Height: 1,70 m.

Weight: 64,5 kg.

Rank/Title: Techpriest Initiate, The Lost Scientist.

Special: he is a doctor with a Ph.D. in advanced physics but suffers from an inferiority complex.

Bio:

Liam is the second child of a middle-class family on BND-12, a human colony that acted as a crucible for the greatest minds of the Federation and as a big university campus. While his childhood was relatively normal for the people in the colony, focussed on educational games and basic logic puzzles, one constant always made Liam feel uncomfortable: his bigger brother Franz. Franz was a genius in his field, but its reputation made all of Liam's achievements lose their value. When he started his first educational cycle, Liam chooses to study in a completely different sector from Franz, however, it was futile as the news of his brother becoming a teacher, one of the highest ranks in the colony, reached him regardless.

After ending his advanced physics studying cycle, surrounded by people who praised him for his brother accomplishes, he decided to leave the colony for one of the Union's research facilities in the sector 17-PR, where his talent contributed to developing new technologies in diverse fields, such as mobile suit research. On the eve of an important experiment, the pilot destined to conduct the test on the new mobile suit had an urgent call and had to return to his homeworld. This sudden situation brought the scientists at the head of the project to ask for volunteers between the staff and, because of a discussion had the same morning, Liam was one of the few to accept the request.

What started as a way to affirm his identity, became one of the weirdest discoveries in his life:

He was pretty good at piloting.

In the days before the test, Liam registered high performances in the simulations, surprising both himself and the military representative in the facility, and studied the inner working of the robot.

However, when the true test began, his anxiety took over, giving false data and damaging the experimental reactor the team was working over.

Liam was destroyed: their work was damaged, he caused the failure of the test the team put the effort into it and he failed to become his own person, but not all was lost.

The military head of the facility offered him a job as a mech R&D and test pilot.

After building what became his personal suit, the Gundam Zer∅ that used many technologies invented by Liam himself, it didn't take long for him to be sent to investigate anomalies found all over the world, a prelude to the Paradox Cascade that tore into spacetime.

Jumping forwards ten years in an instant, Liam found himself allied with Guard Captain Hazardcore from the Imperium of Man, coming from the far future of the 41st millennium, with which he joined to investigate the Paradox Cascade and a way to fix the dimensions.

From that point forward, he faced trials that he never suspected he was going to meet in his lifetime, lost his Mobile suit while finding lifetime friends in the Adeptus Mechanicus, and fought the most dangerous people in this converged universe, growing from the meek scientist he was at the beginning into a much more capable Pilot.

Personal inventory:

Pilot suit

Electrician tools (taken from Adeptus mechanics at the base)

Laspistol (found on the battlefield of the Dark Eldar attack)

THE MECHA

310

Name: MBF-02+EW454F Strike Rouge Ootori

Type: Real Robot

Dimensions: 17.72 m

Weight: 89.3 t

Stats:

Strength: 50

Armor: 50 (90 with Phase Shift against Ballistic)

Firepower: 80

Performance: 75

Mobility: 80

Energy Output: 60

Sensors: 75 (Upgraded with ZerØ's sensor array built into an eyepatch)

Description:

Found in the hangar of the Izumo as one of the MS assigned to the ship, Liam began using it once the ZerØ was too damaged to continue fighting. Mostly white, this machine has a blue colored torso with red accents, a combination of colors that Liam considers too "Gaudy", and the head had been customized to integrate what remained of the ZerØ's sensor array and processor, forming a gray eyepatch over the Gundam's right eye.

Weapons:

  • Anti Air CIWS guns
Mounted in the Strike Rouge's head are two CIWS guns, light projectile weapons that are used to intercept missiles and to destroy lightly armored vehicles.

  • "Armor Schneider" Combat Knife
Stored in the Strike Rouge's side skirt armor is a pair of folding "Armor Schneider" combat knives. These knives do not need power from the suit, can be thrown, and their blades vibrate at high speed allowing them to pierce through most armor except PS armor.

  • 57mm High-energy Beam Rifle
The Strike Rouge's primary ranged weapon, it can be stored on the side skirt armor, and can easily destroy minor mobile suits with one shot, but is mostly ineffective against suits with anti-beam coating. It has an additional handle that can shift to the side and is often used for extra stability when the Strike Rouge is firing its rifle rapidly.

  • Shield
A piece of equipment designed to increase the Strike Rouge's defensive capability, it is mounted on the left forearm and/or handheld. The shield does not have phase shift armor, so it is not as durable as the Strike Rouge's armor, however, it also does not drain energy each time it is hit. The shield's major advantage is that it is anti-beam coated and can block or deflect beam weapon attacks, against which phase shift armor is ineffective.

  • Ootori Striker Pack
one of the swappable mission Pack that the Strike can equip, this backpack comes loaded with a variety of different weapons, including:

  • Beam Launcher: Mounted on the lower right of the Ootori Striker, the beam launcher is the suit's most powerful ranged beam weaponry and is positioned under the right shoulder when in use.
  • Railgun: Mounted on the lower left of the Ootori Striker, the railgun fires a solid projectile that is accelerated via an electromagnetic field. It is positioned under the left shoulder when in use.
  • Large Anti-Ship Sword: The Strike Rouge Ootori is equipped with a large anti-ship sword as its primary close combat weapon. It is a large physical sword that has a laser blade along the cutting edge and is stored on the right side of the Ootori Striker when not in use.
  • Missile Launcher: The missile launcher is mounted on the left side of the striker pack and can be switched with other equipment, such as machine cannon, electronic warfare system, etc.
  • Small Missile: Two sets of three small missiles are mounted on each of the bottom wings. They can be launched all at once for a missile barrage.

Abilities:

Phase Shift Armor: a system that uses electricity to reduce the damage from all forms of physical attacks, making the Suit virtually immune to ballistic Weapons.

Most beam weapons are able to overpower PS Armor faster than ballistic weapons.

Power Extender: A device that improves a mobile suits energy storage capacity, allowing it to use its Phase Shift Armor for a longer duration than other mobile suits.

AI(Artificial Intelligence) Support System: A pilot-assisting AI system that helps an inexperienced pilot in controlling the MS.

Signature Moves:

None.

Pilot

Zh38C0K.png

Name: Alistair Kane
Gender: Male
Age: 26
Height: 183 cm
Weight: 72 kg
Rank/Title: N/A

Special: Alistair is a reasonably skilled swordsman capable of deflecting bullets and can perform short-range teleportation.

Bio: Alistair was born in the small, obscure city of Caladus. At the age of twelve, he saw his city burned to the ground by a pair of walking Calamities but miraculously, he survived their rampage. Vowing revenge, Alistair wandered the world, looking for any way to snuff out the Calamities. After several years of searching, he found a red, chained-up giant humanoid machine. Calling itself the Crimson Knight Epyon, it spoke to Alistair and convinced him to form a pact with it. The Epyon enticed him with the power to destroy the Calamities and Alistair eagerly accepted.

With his newfound weapon, Alistair immediately attempted to track down the Calamities. However, the Epyon began to influence him with its bloodlust and wreaked havoc in many cities whenever he fought enemies on the way to his goal. After many trials, he saw the destructive pair again and the battle culminated in the Epyon consuming them in its hunger for greater power. Its feast came with an unexpected side-effect though. The Epyon actually became weaker but a lot more controllable. With his clarity restored, Alistair felt only shame and regret at the destruction he caused in his pursuit of revenge.

Mech

kFvAdFp.png

Name: Crimson Knight Epyon
Type: Super
Dimensions: 45 meters tall
Weight: 2300 tons

Stats

Strength: 60
Armor: 50
Firepower: 70
Performance: 75
Mobility: 60
Energy Output: 80
Sensors: 40

Description: An alternate universe version of the Epyon powered by dark magic. Its origin is unknown. It used to be far more malicious and violent, but its consumption of the Calamities somehow tamed its once chaotic personality. The Epyon’s ability to absorb others for greater power and abilities seems to have been lost as well.

Weapons

Enchanted Sword: A sword that has a corrosive effect to whatever material it cuts through. The rot would slowly spread to the affected unit entirely.

Bladed Whip: Aside from the obvious uses, the Epyon can use its power to wrap it in crimson flame to melt through whatever it strikes.

Abilities

Black lightning, possibly of the wicked variety. The Epyon can fire it as bolts of energy affecting multiple targets or as a concentrated sphere.

The Epyon can also heed the call of its pilot from great distances and would immediately come to his aid.

Signature Moves

Thundering Dark Lightning God: The Epyon completely coats itself in black lightning and greatly increases its speed. The downside is that this technique severely stresses its frame and can only be used for a short amount of time.
