I dunno, the Sith created too. It was only the Baneite Sith who subverted and decayed things.

That's because in the EU, the Dark Side isn't evil. It's just another aspect of both life and the cosmos. Something neither the Jedi nor the Sith fully understood, for all they could see hints of it, and essentially existed in denial off. That said, Sith who could and did use the Light Side of the Force seemed to come the closest to understanding this truth, much like the old Je'daii.

In fact, the old Je'daii actively used the Dark Side in a creative fashion, in particular the Temple of Vur Tepe, which tapped into the Bogan (i.e. the Dark Side of the Force) via the volcano it was suspended over to power the alchemy of its adepts. In fact, their ability to create was something the Je'daii proudly boasted of.

"Whatever Anil Kesh can imagine Vur Tepe can make real."

It is a massive irony that the Jedi view alchemy as an act of treason against the Will of the Force, when their ancestors saw alchemy as a proud achievement born of wielding Light and Darkness in balance and harmony with each other.

Dawn of the Force?

That was a helluva good run, except Disney cancelled it when they took over.

To be fair, the EU had rock people too, but at least they were cool.

Mace Windu's saber crystal is literally a piece of one of them.

I can't help but think Had obi-wan rescued Anakin on mustifar both would have appreciated some light side sith alchemy.

Anakin: my limbs are gone my lungs are 98% burned, I have 4th degree burns all over my body and my Manhood is burned off.

Darth Imperious: eh, i've seen worse.

*A few hours later*

Darth Imperious: there you go, any better?

Anakin: ...I feel better than ever!

...I literally hated everything that was in that, and my blood pressure just spiked through the roof.

I’m going to go kill something in SW:TOR. Who would have ever thought that EA and BioWare would give more dignity and care to a Star Wars story than Disney?

Is it just me or is the High Republic basically endorsing colonialism here? They're shipping colonists to the frontier and the "Native Pirates" appear to be trying to keep their land against the invaders. They didn't even take "Natives" out of the names of the bad guys.

Also and I'm probably stupid for asking, why were those guys laughing in the video? I couldn't find anything funny in it and I'm confused now.

The Jedi are the evil supporters of the Republic's Manifest Destiny while the Sith are the staunch allies of the Native pirates defending their home systems against foreign invaders
