What If? Star Trek Federation is transported into the 40k galaxy

What did the Federation ever do yo you?
LOL! Full agreement. Killed or enslaved or MUTATED inside a short time. The Unfriendly Locals - even if inferior in tech - are tech and MAGIC savvy enough and will bury them in bodies.

BTW - I've seen sentiments like yours often accompanied by the line I quote below:
"Show us on the doll where the Federation touched you".

Again, you are mistaking one-shot plot devices for standard performance.

Despite all their fuckery with transwarp, wormholes, slipstream and whateverwarp, the Federation is still unable to travel faster than Warp 9 and their weapons are decidedly inferior in power and quantity to what most Warhammer factions can dish out.

Civilizations with Transwarp repeatedly go faster than Warp 9 aka the Volm and the Borg, Also Slipstream is a thing from Voyager that can cross the galaxy in seconds.

Patently untrue, we see them exceed warp 9 regularly. Warp 9.975 is often quoted as Voyager's maximum. The Ent-D routinely sustains 9.6. Warp 10 is the hard limit and that's because it's infinite speed.

This is a vs. match, and we follow
Also untrue. It's 'what happens if the Federation appears in the 40k galaxy'. This might mean open war, it might mean loose alliances with neighbouring xenos, it might mean remaining hidden from the galaxy at large while watching the shitshow from a distance. We're looking at how the Federation adapts to its new galaxy, not ROB induced war with everyone they can find. It's a small difference in 40k, but an important one.

Potato/potato.

The highest speed they can achieve is a joke compared to Warhammer Warp and Wars Hyperdrive.

Blackstone is far beyond anything the Federation can create, as it was made by the Necrons or other elder races, as we're those pylons.
Now the rest of your claims have already been answered but this one does interest me. I'd like you to provide your proof and reasoning as to why blackstone is far beyond anything the Federation can create.

Can't disprove a negative.

Your average Warhammer ship actually packs a much more powerful punch than anything the Federation has.

To be fair if we do include the 29th-century Q-lite/Time Lord-lite federation that could be a very big X factor. As regardless of it's nature, Starfleet could backtrack to whatever events caused the warp to become the chaotic monstrosity it is by the time of 40K and manipulate certain events within space and time to where either A. Said Warp is never able to manifest itself. or B. It never manifests past it's Warhammer Fantasy levels, making the universe, while still chaotic, much more habitable for the federation.

We see in Star Trek many instances where no matter how powerful the Starship is firepower wise. It can be defeated via Trecknobabble. It is literally the Federation's go to tactic. And the 29th Century Federation can do that on steroids. Oh look we detonatted Omega Particles in a Star System your fleet was in. Enjoy spending the rest of you lives stuck there in that isolated pocket of Space Time.

One of the issues, too, is how both treat their narrative. Trek's universe is just as horrifying and full of monsters but the Federation actually punches the horrors back while (mostly) maintaining their morals, but the Imperium can only grimly hold on and has to meet atrocity with atrocity. Optimistic vs. Pessimistic.

If somebody wrote a story where some rando Imperium researcher came up with a "cure" that turned Orks into peace-loving allies of the Imperium it would be a ridiculous violation of all the themes in the game. If there was a DS9 episode where O'Brien and Dr. Bashir travel through the wormhole, encounter a functionally identical race to the Orks, and Bashir was able to cure the genetic tampering that made them violent in the space of one episode, it would just be a fairly typical episode of Trek.

....and why I stopped watching Trek a LONG time ago.

I mean, the amount of damage it can take and how the Imperium can't really damage it.

Imperium have tried these things though.
Remember, they have probably tried a scientific route when it comes to stopping certain things.

Tired of the deus ex babble somehow saving the day. The last Trek I watched really was some Enterprise. I tried Discovery (Egad man!) and the 1st season of Picard (just wth?!).

Throughout there's an obsession with time travel as a means to fix things...instead of having the characters struggle to find said solution. OR some cosmically powerful beings save the day. OR it's just technobabble yanked from arse to rescue all.

It regularly ignores any repercussions and consequences, or just glosses over them.

I'm generally not a fan of the characters, and I despise the Federation Culture.

I'll stop now.

Eh I'm willing to ignore consequences to a certain extent depending on if everything else can make it entertaining enough (see star wars for example)

but...frack the prime directive.

Here is the thing. The Imperium of Man does not really understand they own tech fully. They have a vague idea of how things work. But unlike them The Federation not only knows their own tech fully but can back engineer tech millions of years old. Points at back engineered Iconian tech. 40K techonbabble is like Starfleet when they are fully drunk and going off only 1 hours sleep after 72 hours of working straight. They aren't in the same technobabble league and never have been.
