Such as Days Gone!

According to a GQ interview with the President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, Jim Ryan:

What about PlayStation games on PC?

A whole slate of them is on the way starting with Days Gone this spring. And as for Sony’s publishing timetable for the year? Well, Covid has been up to no good again and booted Gran Turismo 7 back to 2022. Don’t worry, plans for the Uncharted movie and Last Of Us TV series are very much on track.

So, yeah, all of our best-laid plans went out of the window in quite spectacular fashion. What follows next is an edited version of us scrambling to get our heads around a grand splurge of announcements that pretty much set the PlayStation 5 up for most of 2021. As ever, Ryan remained cheerily straightforward company.

and

So releasing PlayStation games on PC was something that Sony PlayStation held back on for a long time. Now it sounds like you’re very much on that bandwagon. What changed?

I think a few things changed. We find ourselves now in early 2021 with our development studios and the games that they make in better shape than they’ve ever been before. Particularly from the latter half of the PS4 cycle our studios made some wonderful, great games. There’s an opportunity to expose those great games to a wider audience and recognize the economics of game development, which are not always straightforward. The cost of making games goes up with each cycle, as the caliber of the IP has improved. Also, our ease of making it available to non-console owners has grown. So it’s a fairly straightforward decision for us to make.

I don't have any interest in Days Gone specifically.

I'm waiting to see if they'll release The Last of Us or Bloodborne, primarily.

God of War. Spiderman. Until Dawn. Ghost of Tsushima.

I think the most likely ones are The Last of Us (to promote The Last of Us 2 on PS4/PS5), God of War 1-3, and Uncharted 1-3.... Both, again to make people want to complete the series.

I predict The Last of Us releasing on Steam for $40, and God of War and Uncharted trilogies releasing for $60 each.

Bloodborne is also likely, as is Until Dawn.

The least likely of the desired games are Spiderman, Ghost of Tsushima, and TLOU2.

Persona 5... that's another one that I could see coming. Other Persona games have been released on Steam, but not that one...

And Days Gone is already on Steam.

It only has the planned release date in the Spring of 2021, but not even a price yet, but hopefully its the first of many Playstation games to come to PC... hopefully with proper keyboard and mouse support. (y)

I wonder what the next one will be.

I'm thinking God of War. Ragnarok is coming out later this year, so I think they'll release the older GOW games on PC to try and get people to get a PS5 to play Ragnarok when it releases.

Sony Announced it Plans on Having Half of its Games Released on PC's and/or 'mobile platforms by 2025.

Video Games Chronicle said:
SIE president Jim Ryan said that expanding to the larger platforms, and in particular committing to releasing at least 12 live service games in the coming years, could be “transformational to our business”.

“PlayStation Studios historically has executed wonderfully in the delivery of a strong portfolio of narrative rich, graphically beautiful single-player games, but it’s certainly the case that we have restricted ourselves to a rather narrow portion of the gaming market,” Ryan said.

“By expanding to PC and mobile, and it must be said… also to live services, we have the opportunity to move from a situation of being present in a very narrow segment of the overall gaming software market, to being present pretty much everywhere.”

Press X to Doubt.

According to the chart in that Article, 20% of their releases in 2022 are supposed to be PC releases. That's impossible unless Sony drops a shit ton of PC releases in Q3 and Q4.

Given Sony's proclivities to censor things, I also wouldn't be surprised if they fuck with these old games before releasing them. Probably the entire reason they're doing it, actually.

Press X to Doubt.

There's not much to sensor in their newer games (and people would definitely have noticed), and I think their censoring their older games by not rereleasing them (EG: God of War original trilogy).
