So that show I've been hyping, Harley Quinn? The first 4 episodes are going to be on SyFy tomorrow if people want to watch legally. Every monday in may, they are showing 4 episodes. It's really worth the watch!

I watched season 2 and 3 of True Detective, which I liked alright but not as much as the first season which I loved.

I watched the first episode of Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, and though I like Natalie Dormer, I couldn't stand the show. In large part because of politics. It was too leftist, too anti-white.

May have to try it out then. I know SyFy was showing DC moves for a while on Saturdays and have had different anime and cartoons on over the years. I use to wat h their anime before school in the morning.

I am starting to watch Upload on Amazon. It is an interesting concept with a world that is believable future world.

Somethings like in the frist epsoide like two people hooking up on a one night stand app asking about bringing protection. The joke is instead of condoms they both put on cameras and say they consent. It also takes digs at social media obsession and limousine liberals which hit home. It also has a fairly strong anti corporate take too but overall the show is not overly preachy and the humor stands out.

The overreaching plots do help tie the jokes together and I am on episode 5 and like it so far.

I also have dove into the feared world of Isekai. I normally avoid these shows but I thought that My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! had an interesting hook. The main plot hook is that main charater is inserted into a dating game as the villain with the best path in the game exile and most likely ending up dead. So it follows her path in trying to save herself.

The humor is over the top and the foreshadowing is obvious. But the charater is somewhat funny and their misunderstandings are funny. So far the show is a nice time waster that is more light hearted then a lot of Isekai.

I also saw Farscape os now on Prime and may try to rewatch that because I missed a lot when it frist aired.

I really liked Farscape but I have this terrible habit of watching most TV series whilst doing something else unless it's super engrossing. The first season or two (not sure how far into it before I got lost in the morass) was very original and fun to watch. The use of puppets, the setting, wacky characters, random encounters and the sheer amount of mind breaking torture Michael Crichton went through (along with the other crew members) just from existing and encountering the randomness that existed in that corner of the galaxy... whew... any lesser man would've been driven insane I feel. :p

But yeah, as the seasons went on I feel I lost track of the storyline and it got a bit to complex for me. This isn't knocking the series by any means, it just didn't fit my casual watching style. I'll have to give it a proper rewatch someday because I did enjoy the non-traditional off the wall and originality of the series overall and want to see how it ends up.

Ya I remember the puppets and make up where really good for a cable show. I am a fan of practical effects which hold up when well done compared to a lot of the cheaper cgi shows use now. It is some of the best Jim Heson company work I have seen t.v.

Overall the plot from what I remember starts to just get werid with the wormhole aliens and random visions.

But overall the show was a true adventure story. I am finished up Upload and on my rewatch starting to weekend of I don't get caught up in more animal crossing. Got to get my peachs.

Also, I started watching the WWE, and it is amazing. No one is better on the mic than Paul Heyman.

I use to watch Raw when I was a kid back when the Rock was a major charater. But overtime it is just like a soap opera and got old. The names may change but in general it stays the same over the years.

I think the responses of the fans and emotional connection is what makes it so good. Bray Wyatt is doing some cool stuff, managing to get crowds of grown adults chant "Yowie Wowie" and cheer for a kids cartoon. But Paul Heyman on adlibbing mic is just magic. He just controls the stadium and it's amazing. He does this even outside of wrestling arenas.

I've been thinking of watching Black Sails. It's on sale somewhere and since it's only four seasons, I tend to enjoy watching television series with actual endings. Plus ya know... pirates... sexy pirates.

Watched Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol the other night because, despite seeing the newest one (Fallout?) in theaters, I'd never seen the 'middle two' that came before it after seeing the third one when it came out in...My God, in 2006.

In any event...It was good. Fun action bits, just a cool half-narm but still-serious aesthetic/tone to things, and some twisty twists that were kind've predictable because it was a Mission Impossible movie and they ALWAYS do that, but how they pulled them off was fun. Plus that fun theme song and Jeremy Renner as heartthrob broken-bird secret-agent that you just wanna hug and pet.

I'd have to watch them all at some point (still have 'Rogue Nation' to get through and its been many a year since I watched the first two), but it's actually the one film franchise that comes to mind that I don't think disappoints with sequels and actually got better? They're films that actually get me somewhat 'on the edge of my seat' and anxious despite knowing they'll always end in success (though, the fakeout in Fallout got me something fierce).

The only really bad one was the second one. While they always have spy stuff and flashbacks. They really over did it in that movie and the use of spy tech like the face masks was poorly done compared to later movies.

But overall I like them. Rouge Nation is probably the best of the last couple ones. I do think that Tom Cruise is getting a bit old for the role. He is not at Schwarzenegger level of picking actions roles decades to late but he is getting there. Baldwin stands out as a new comer that brings in some new plot points and funny moments overall especially at the end.

I think some of my loss of interest was that the old cast faded out and the new wrestlers just did not connect to me on the same level as the ones from when I was a kid. But I watched it for about a decade and even have a an old ring and figures around somewhere. But to me any ring without yhe Undertaker, Rock or Stone Cold Steve Austin just lacks something.

That is the thing with show like that or soap operas. The cast changes can cause a disconnect with older audiences. It may bring in new fans but some times old fans just lose interest.

That's totally fair. I'm just starting (I feel like I've wasted years of my life for not watching it sooner), so I'm making my way through highlights and backlogs. I really like D-Generation X, Eddie Guerrero, and Paul Heyman. But some of the new stuff is fun as well. The women's division isn't just sex anymore, which is a highlight. But Bray Wyatt is just amazing, I'd recommend watching some of the firefly funhouse stuff.

Ya I can see that. While It was fun to watch I do admit was mainly just glorified Mud Wrestling. But I was young and dial up was the only option.

So ya,

But I do admit that one of the draws of Amercain Ninja Warrior is that both males and females compete on the same high level. So actual athlete Divas would be a decent draw to me.

Speaking of have you seen Fighting for Family?

It is based on Pagie a professional wrestler. I have to say that even if she appeared after I stopped watching I found it a fun sports movie. While the outcome is easy to see the journey there was fun to watch. If you like professional wrestling I would give it a watch.

I haven't yet. I'm about a month or two into wrestling. It's so much fun. As for the Paige film, I've heard of it, but haven't watched it yet. I'll have to do that.

Oh, they are all amazing, but Heyman is still better. Better than Stone Cold, better than the Rock.

It's the things he does when he 'shoots' that are scary. His inside the ring where he just posits a theory that maybe Brock Breaking the Streak was a shoot was insane. Of course Brock didn't, but he can get you to believe it while he is talking. The pipebomb he gives just to screw with the chicago crowd was also legendary. He basically killed the CM Punk chant, and turned it into heat for Lesner. He got such huge buy-in from wrestlers in ECW as well, and some refer to it as a cult. He goes a step beyond greatness and just manipulates the crowds emotions as he likes. His promos are legit magic.
