They use private messaging and it's those same sites which show questionable content that don't get scrubbed unless discovered and give the mods depression in facebook.

Could be. Anything to hide the identity.

Questionable Content.....gonna see much deleting of NSFW stuff then without actually finding anything related to human trafficking or helping put a stop to it

The british empire asks.

"Do you miss me yet?"

Whenever people think slavery, I think they mostly only know of the slavery done in the Americas by Europeans and European descendents

The Arabian Slave Trade, the one that even raided and sold the populations of large european cities alongside terrorising much of Africa slips out of people’s minds even as it continues today with less large ships for raiding

To be fair to the extreme left, the people who ended slavery more then a hundred years ago and put huge amounts of money and generations of effort into ending it have to be much worse human beings then the people who practice slavery to this day.

The ending of slavery comes from the same mentality as the one currently ensuring all the rather unfortunate events happening in our time. And it will lead to the obvious and inevitable conclusion.

No good deed goes unpunished.

And just like Atlantis, this civilization that had the rather naive and most heretical notion that humans are more angels then apes and should be treated as such, must suffer the consequence of such poor and unwise notions ordained by the Gods: Death.

Such is the endless cycle of all those who think to bring forth such ideas into deed.

This strikes me as a tad nihilistic?

Not really.
All things must die, thus all civilizations will fall.

From its ashes a new civilisation will rise one who will reject the ideas that led to the death of the previous one, then eventually engage in cargo cultism of their "ancestors" , while not managing to learn the lesson and once again fly too and high making the divines a bit insulted by the filthy unworthy competition and get their wings burnt off, crash and shatter... Only to provide the ingredients for the next, hopefully better attempt.

Hubris is inevitable once you surpass everyone you can see or know off.

Hubris is inevitable once you surpass everyone you can see or know off.

Even worse, it occurs even when you are NOT a success and do NOT have huge near-unlimited amounts of money to spend as well as big debts to pay and high to complete efficiency alongside technology to make manual labor unnecessary

Civilisation as Robert E. Howard says many times in his works, is simply put......Decadent

Given how often these days it appears that tech giants are unknowingly harbouring this sort of abuse, I do believe we need to let the Sword of Damocles whack them into the head real good. By that I mean fines in the the region that makes the tech giants basically go without profit for a decade and stalling their development in place as all they're able to do for a decade is pay the bills.

This sort of wound would be remembered and for a long time.

Hopefully it does NOT require a “Big Government” that may itself be biased and bribable and introduce fines on people who aren’t even really causing trouble

Ideally other sites would show up and compete with them. That doesn't seem to be successful right now unfortunately.
