I am shocked and appalled that one of the greatest starships in Sci-Fi has yet to be shown. Allow me to correct that.

It's good that there is fan artwork and even renders of the original Wing Commander space carrier, the TCS Tigers Claw... since the original carrier was like twenty animated pixels wide but still looked awesome.

Not sure the source of this render but it looks awesome.

She makes me think of what a carrier would look like if built with Star Trek technology.

What is it with people using the name of the Marie Celeste as an in-joke? First it was Black Lagoon with the Mariya Zelesta and now this...

I'm not really sure it'd be an in-joke, technically. But I'd guess it's because there's maybe a dozen or so ships the average person would recognize the name of, only like two of those are civilian. And the other one is the Titanic, a name that's been a byword for "totally doomed" since....1914, I think?

My favourite from Star Wars, the Bellator:

She may not be the biggest or most armed dreadnought, but she's the fastest and will outmaneuver a bigger ship and hit 'em where it hurts the most.

And also you Heretics.

A space cathedral meant to establish humanity's supremacy over the galaxy.

Since it's semi-topical... here's the Nebulon-K Frigate featured on Eckharts Ladder... and in Marvel Star Wars Comics! 👌

There is no greater honour than the creator of the original universe stealing your fan design.

I always like the Hammerhead fighter. It is a nice mix of looking somewhat realistic and future tech into something that looks like that a real country could build.

I really miss SAAB.... It was more or less the epitome of 90s Sci-fi.

I still can see certain scenes in my head when I hear Patsy Cline or Jonny Cash. Th hey managed to make some really remarkable scenes that just stick with you.

The nice thing about the show is that the fleets had a solid theme and you could see 5he design element transfer between ships. They looked like they all belonged to the same fleet which some shows and movies forget about.

Truly it had the wasted potential of the camraderie in Stargate and the thematic elements of Wing Commander, with a charming attention to detail, esp. for the 90s.
