This could've gone in any number of threads but I'll put it here.

The British newspaper The Guardian cited a study from Cardiff University that reportedly claims that wearing facemasks makes both men and women more appealing to the eye:

Daily Mail said:
'Our study suggests faces are considered most attractive when covered by medical face masks. This may be because we're used to healthcare workers wearing blue masks and now we associate these with people in caring or medical professions. At a time when we feel vulnerable, we may find the wearing of medical masks reassuring and so feel more positive towards the wearer.'

The pictures were shown with a two different kinds of face mask, with a book partially covering the faces and with nothing covering the faces at all (stock image)
Lewis added that it was possible face masks made people more attractive because it directed the participants' attention towards the eyes.

I mean... the mask would be an enhancement for some people I suppose... :cautious: 😷

Apparently someone did a break down of the list.

Jordan Schachtel said:
The letter denouncing Joe Rogan and pressuring Spotify to censor his speech has all kinds of random signatories. By my count, the letter is signed by over 50 PhD academics, around 60 college professors, 29 nurses, 10 students, 4 medical residents, and even a handful of… science podcasters.

Notably, there is no information on who or what group is behind the creation and circulation of the open letter. Rivera, the reported lead author of the letter, is associated with the far-left Rockefeller Foundation and The Atlantic, and she is a CNN contributor.

Good idea for a thread. I say this because I found an article from 2019 linking the eating of meat with toxic masculinity.

My Lakota ancestors ate bison, which is close enough to beef that they can be cross-bred, so these Leftist losers can fuck right off with their propaganda. The only truth to what they say is hidden in the bit about only the rich aristocrats getting to eat meat, which is to say that this is how they want it to be.

We could troll the Leftists with some images of Lakota tribesmen hunting bison, and titled "Manly Red Indian men doing manly things while manly!"

But seriously though - the real reason they complain of beef being thought "manly" is obviously that they want people to stop getting the nutritional benefits of eating meat. It's all about power.
