The aftereffects of major Fires resulting in fires on the Kherson-Mykolaiv Front. Second day in a row where a Russian Depot has been struck and detonated apparently.

More Civilian Shipping Going "Dark" off in the Black Seas. Very worrying. The Russians insisted repeatedly that AIS should be turned on in case of accidental striking of civilian shipping like what happened in the beginning of the War.

Apparently Russian military corruption keeps on rolling and even the defense industry is sick of being on the receiving end of it.
Before the damaged equipment is delivered to repair plants, it gets completely dismantled, while spare parts and units are sold or exchanged for alcohol. In some cases, only charred bodies of BMPs and tanks make it to repair factories.

At the same time, Ukrainian intelligence reports, chiefs of repair companies instructed their staff not to accept the incoming equipment. The reason behind their stance is the lack of components and insufficient funds paid by the military for the work already completed.
Basically the companies get paid to fix a damaged but partially intact vehicle, but what they get is a bare hull stripped of any usable parts instead, and it's implied that they have to cover the difference between the cost of repairing the former and the latter to fully functional state themselves.

I wonder how much better the corruption situation is in Ukraine itself. One would think that a country fighting for its life would be more serious about these types of things. Though this isn't always the case. Afghanistan 2021 comes to mind.

In case of Afghanistan the fighting was very half hearted compared to Ukraine, and so the efforts to prevent corruption from getting in the way of that naturally were just as half hearted.
You didn't even see volunteer units popping up outside of few specific areas and masses of territorial defense volunteers wanting to fight the Taliban. And that's despite the fact that lightly armed volunteers would be a much greater threat to the Taliban than to Russian military.

I think it's a pretty good rule of thumb that low morale and corruption go hand in hand in any military.

@Husky_Khan Do you know what happened to the Mariupol Greeks? There's a sizable Greek community in that part of the Donbass:

In 2001, as the map above shows, some parts of Donetsk Oblast had a Greek percentage in the double-digits. Where exactly are all of these Greeks right now? Where did they evacuate to? Did any of them move to Greece?

I saw plenty of pro-Russian Telegram Channels Stating the Azovites and Whatnot were Oppressing and Genociding them. That discussion tapered off the more the entire city got flattened.

Since then I heard more contrary accounts about how they suffered just ike the rest of the citizenry under Russian Liberation. Also s number apparently emigrated from Crimea to Mariupol since 2014 so that's doubly unfortunate for them.

If they're suffering, is there anywhere that they can emigrate to? The rest of Ukraine? The EU? Greece specifically?
