Havana Syndrome

Or so it has been alleged.

It's currently under investigation and the only reason the story has come out is because in the course of the investigation the Pentagon has briefed various Lawmakers. Also it might have some similarities to the so called 'Havana Syndrome' which was theorized to of been caused by "directed, pulsed radiofrequency energy" according to a State Department report on the matter.

Politico said:
The investigation evolved into a larger discussion involving the National Security Council, the CIA, State Department and Office of the Director of National Intelligence, said three former national security officials involved in the discussions.

The members of Congress privy to top-secret intelligence, known as the Gang of Eight, were notified about Russia’s suspected targeting of Americans in Syria using directed energy, according to the two people with direct knowledge of the matter. The Senate Armed Services Committee was also briefed, the people said.

The congressional officials briefed on the incidents said the Pentagon believes that the nature of the directed-energy attacks is similar to those carried out against Americans in Cuba, but was hesitant to draw direct parallels.

It's weird how in regards to some countries, every scrap of rumor finds it's way to media right away.

The investigation is apparently ongoing into this, with the number of cases, incidents and alleged victims expanding. These include at least three individuals in Miami, an incident involving a National Security Council official walking along the Ellipse of the White House and a separate NSC individual who was walking their dog in Alexandria, Virginia.

Politico said:
In Miami, several people reported symptoms similar to those exhibited by American spies and diplomats in Cuba starting in 2016 that became known as “Havana syndrome,” three people said. It was unclear which agency the people in the Miami incident belonged to.

Officials are also investigating two similar incidents — one last year involving a senior National Security Council official walking to his car from the south lawn of the White House known as the Ellipse, and another in 2019 involving a separate NSC official walking a dog in Alexandria, Va., the people said.

The Senate Intel Committee has also issued a statement on the matter, vowing to investigate the alleged attacks on US Personnel.

Changed the Thread Title from: "Russia Using Directed Energy Weapons Against US Troops" to 'Havana Syndrome'

And on that topic... the Vice President of Singapore's trip to Hanoi was delayed due to a possible 'anomalous health incident' that occurred in Hanoi.

If I complained about foreign spies shooting me with death rays, only the nonexistence of American mental health care would keep me out of a padded cell, but when a bunch of glowies complain about it, it's a national emergency justifying a few billion dollars and the passage of more fuck-our-rights laws?

Well, think of it from their point of view. If foreign countries drive out the globalist filth occupying the American state department, how will they have another Maidan? Without legally guaranteed safe-havens for American spooks to operate out of, starting color revolutions might involve more personal risk. Imagine if they were shot instead of being declared persona non grata?

You misunderstand, short of a charred corpse and/or a captured and reverse-engineered death ray, I just outright disbelieve the technology even exists, let alone that Russia would be risking a war by making glowies literally glow in the dark.

There are already sonic and diffuse energy weapons in use as crowd suppression tools, I see no reason that such tools could not be tuned for small-scale use.

As for hostile regimes using them, I again disagree with your assessment. GAE agencies have long since demonstrated a taste for covert incitement of revolution. This is a direct threat to the security of regimes not aligned with globalist interests. It would not surprise me if they chose to respond with covert violence.

All that said, I think there are two other scenarios which are more likely than Russian deaf rays,

  • "boohoohooo Russian deaf rays, now give me retirement pension moneys"
  • Sketchy fringe lifestyles + far away from family and country == new and exciting diseases.

CIA Station Chief removed from prestigious Vienna position due to lack of response towards 'anomalous health incidents' affecting many embassy personnel stationed there.

Interesting... Is there even 100% sure determination of the means this work through is electromagnetic waves or some kind of sonic device yet? There was some confusion about that.
Another odd thing is that somehow it has so far happened only to US and Canadian diplomats, which shows either some odd logic in targeting, or a more complex situation than just spiteful maiming attacks.
The alternate theory is that *someone's* electromagnetic warfare devices (RF powered listening devices, jammers, counter-jammers, specialist radars, secure comms, spoofers or whatever), in some conditions, possibly due to interaction with terrain features or interference with other devices, some of them not even necessarily belonging to the same owner, can create the harmful phenomenon, even though this wasn't seen in usual test conditions before the equipment was cleared for use.

The fact that this now also happens in NATO countries suggests that either its unintentional, or the weapon's user is extremely cocky about the risk of getting this gear and its operators captured, which would imply that they have good reasons to be cocky about it because getting caught would be quite bad for them.

Meanwhile Israelis have a third theory - apparently they think its self inflicted by... US pesticides used for fumigating their diplomat's residences against Zika virus.
How hilarious of Israel to come up with the "why are you gassing yourself" theory

Pesticides makes more sense than "spooky foreign weapon". The instructions for an off-the-shelf bug bomb you can get from a corner convenience store tell you that sticking around while it's doing its job is unhealthy.
