They would try to pull a Crimea on Belarus - the trick is that lots of their troops are already there.
It's useless to them except the far Eastern third of Belarus where Russia controls the Ukrainian side of the border. Every road and rail out of Belarus was demolished by Ukraine, mined and fortified ala the DMZ between the Koreas. It is literally impassable without months of peacetime to rebuild them.

Such fighting in Belarus would spill into the Baltic States and Poland.

Even if they did take Belarus only one highway-railway pair has the capacity to carry military gear and supplies. It would change nothing. Belarus is in even worse state than Chechnya. Every active soldier is trained in Population Suppression and counter espionage. Belarus does not have Frontline capable troops

Still better than usual mobiks. Doubly so because they are technically not Russian citizens yet, so they don't need to be included in Russian draft statistics, death tolls, payouts for dead and wounded and so on.
That's one goal, to turn Belarus into another LNR, except bigger and not depleted of military age men and stuff to steal. Other ones are free reign of the territory for military use, freeing up FSB assets keeping an eye on its government, lots of stuff to divide between unhappy with war and sanctions VIPs as a consolation prize, and speaking of consolation prizes, it's a "Russian land" to be returned in contrast to the lack of successes in Ukraine.
Unlike the separatist republics it's also technically a recognized sovereign state so it might be used for some ops involving provocations or sanction busting.

I refuse to kowtow to your demand that I let it slide this time.
I refuse your narrative that I am only opposed to this one time because "you are a vatnik" and am usually happy to be stolen from.
I am always upset at their theft.

Gonna be real with u bro you sound just like a sovcit getting his ass beat as he's hauled out of his car. "AH DO NOT CONSENT AH DO NOT CONSENT AH DO NOT CONSENT AH REFUSE DIS A-THORI-TAY-"

"I'm going to ignore you so much I made a post about ignoring you, because I wanted you to know I'm ignoring you."

Don't worry I'm gonna be with you the whole way, watching you carry this abortion to term.

Interestingly, I've yet to see anyone actually post any data to show this is actually that big of an issue in the Russian Army

What constitutes "data," here? The Russian Federation Are You Being Raped survey passed around the ranks? I'm gonna guess that'd be as accurate as the Is Our Army Ready To Fight survey that was done before the invasion of Ukraine, which turned out to be total horseshit, as well as the Will Ukraine Cave Easily, which also proved to be horseshit given how Putin fired pretty much the entire FSB unit assigned to Ukraine and transferred authority for that intelligence to Russian military intelligence. "Data." Guys. Guys he wants data. Why will you not give this man THE DATA!?!??!

> my argument is so fucking stupid I am going to start complaining about your tone now.
> and shift gears towards unrelated mockery to divert from the sheer awfulness of my argument

Gonna be real with you, you sound like a wokie liberal who is only able to speak in logical fallacies and outright lies.

Not to mention the pathetic tribalism where if someone dared to even once disagree with you on anything that they are now an enemy. And you are now free to lie about everything they ever said before to try to attack them

I watched the Darryl Brooks case. That Manchild should've just kept his mouth shut and hired a lawyer. Instead I got to watch a bipolar, ADHD six year old come out and throw a tantrum for a few hours. WTF?

Fun fact. NKVD alive and well in Russia different name same job. Putin's personal army of political commissars to monitor army officers and politicians. It's back to 1970 Soviet Union for Russia complete with bringing back Soviet Population Suppression laws.

watched the victim impact statements by various victims and family of the deceased. listening to a little girl describe just how fucked up her body was even after dozens of surgeries was harrowing. every one of them was a sucker punch but that one got to me.

I did watch them. What a horrid man.

On the war I find it amusing HIMARS has become a game changer. It was originally designed to counter North Korea's highly experienced artillery units. And first deployed in 2000s invasion of Afghanistan. It's been 21 years with barely any upgrades. Russia has stolen the technical blueprints to it and its become a game changer against them. Lol.

member that black supremacist who ran over a bunch of kids and elderly ladies in a Christmas parade shortly after the Rittenhouse trial?
No, I forgot about it because it was memory holed.
This is the first time I hear it mentioned since the day it happened
he decided he was a sov citizen and was a Lolcow for his trial. he alternated between being hilariously wrong to incredibly infuriating in the trial.
kek.
did they at least convict him?

7 life sentences, the first 30 in confinement at maximum security. The judge added the maximum allowed extra time for his lack of remorse, boastfulness, contemptible behavior against the witnesses, the court and the disrespect. I hope the guards make a "Mistake" and he ends up in the general population side.

In the Old Country the police would have allowed the crowd to tear the pinche culo to pieces.

Having a nominally independent Belarus to try escaping as many Western sanctions as possible sounds like the kind of big-brained move that someone like Putin would make, frankly.

The moment they take over is the moment those sanctions are applied to Belarus.

Looks like unit cohesion and command have broken down completely in the Russian occupied Ukraine. This intercept is of a Soviet veteran who answered the recruitment propaganda and has been fighting in Ukraine. In his words the Army never changed. It's as fucked up now as it was back then.

Just like the Nazis these Russians rounded up 28 Romani, lined them up against a wall and massacred them. The reason? The moonshine they "bought" (if by buy you meant in exchange for goods you let the merchant live) from one of those Romani was a bad batch and poisoned the soldiers. Those accusations of Ukrainian Nazis have aged quite badly with all the ethnic cleansing the Russians are doing.

That's why they'll treat to conceal this takeover behind a thin façade if at all possible.

Lol. It finally comes out. Musk tried to circumvent the Apple payment processing so as to receive all 8 USD instead of the 5 USD he would receive for Twitter Blue. I knew that fool wasn't concerned with free speech, especially with his past actions. It all comes back to the money for him. This is why he started an attack on Apple. He doesn't want to pay Apple's app tax.

Got any evidence for that claim?

Because it sounds pretty absurd on the face of it. Apple charging a percentage for buying apps in their store? Reasonable business practice, depending on the percentage.

Apple somehow skimming off 30-40% of a subscription fee? How would they make that happen at all, much less justify it?

They do, and their justification is "because". That's what the whole Epic Games lawsuit is about. Apple (and Google) both take a cut of both app purchase and subscriptions. That's why some apps require you to do subscription stuff through a web page rather than the app itself - to avoid that cut.
