Updates on why Elon is a bit upset at being asked to 'donate' so much bandwidth and money to support Ukraine, even if it's a righteous fight. turns out Starlink is being actively attacked by Russia via jamming and more, and EWAR-type defense work is not cheap to handle for a private entity like SpaceX.

$20mil a month is no small amount, and no one is asking Locheed Martian, Raytheon, or Boeing to donate 20mil in services and equipment a month.

Either the DoD or Congress itself needs to be compensating Musk for this help he's giving Ukraine. We have a shit load of aid going to Ukraine to keep them in the fight, 20mil a month to compensate Elon for his systems critical role is not unreasonable or improper.

I mean, technically they are asking that much.
Cost of making some of the equipment we send

Are the Ukrainians asking for 'donations' directly from the companies, like it seems with Musk?

This just seems like some big paperwork fuck-up on multiple people's parts; after Musk started the initial donations, I had assumed that he, the US, and Ukraine had worked out an actual service contract that would cover EWAR costs once Russia began to counter the terminals and attempt to hack SpaceX/Musk himself.

Compensating Musk for money spent on EWAR hardening and work should probably be on the table, whether it's DC directly doing it or some aid money going back to Musk from Ukraine.

I’ll never happen, not unless the cronies get a slice of the pie.

Delusions of grandeur. Biden thought he could get the Saudis to give up god only only knows how much in profit with setting the US oil. He, along with the rest of the upper echelons of the democrats wouldn't give a damn if the majority of their userbase were to die. They think they'd still win with the media etc on their side. The left always seem to double-down on their arrogance regardless on what a bare hint of common sense would tell them.
I see you are forgetting the Republican playbook from the Cold War. The US crashed the Soviet economy by telling its client state Saudi Arabia to overproduce oil and tank the price of oil in concert with the US and its allies.

The problem Biden has is that his predecessor fucked up and pissed off the Saudis into the Chinese and Russian sphere. You don't get to blame the man whose having to deal with a problem another man caused. That's called being blind and leads to the bullshit of Chinese, Russian and Belarusian governments.

Starlink isn't free the Ukrainian government has or I should say had an agreement to pay Musk back after the war. With that idiot now seemingly kissing Putin's arse. Deactivating Starlink in areas Putin just declared Russian but which are under Ukraine's control I don't think Ukraine will follow through with that promise.

I hope Musk gets his arse handed to him that Commie Loving bastard.

On more on topic news. Russian and Collaborator administrators have all fled overnight from Kherson. They left with no warning abandoning their belongings except for cash and other mobile assets. Several were recorded by several cell phones driving off at high speed in the wee hours of the night. Furthermore this morning Russian diplomats tried to propose a ceasefire with Ukraine and offered to surrender Kherson in exchange. The Ukrainians told them to "Fuck Off! Were taking back everything!" 😆

...What kind of fantasy land are you living in here?

Trump had strong relations with the Saudis; he got them into the Abraham Accords and everything.

It's Biden who's completely bungled things with them, and just about the entire rest of the Middle East. Pretty standard fare for a Democrat, really.

I very much agree. Biden, in part, got us into this mess by not presenting strong enough leadership and appearing weak to Putin. If Trump was elected, Putin might have had second thoughts.

And, yep, remember Clinton's Le Bomb a Tylenol factory?

The King was bought and paid for a long time ago when the CIA helped him secure the Throne. The Crown Prince detested how Trump talked down to the King as though he owned the kingdom. Now that MBS is King in all but name he's going to act against the US. Especially with Biden being too soft spoken and measured. Dictators like MBS see that as weakness. Hell you had two choices in your election one utterly corrupt and willing to sell you out for a profit and an old man who should have retired to a full time care facility a long time ago.

Between the idiot Russian puppet and the Senescent old man. I think the old man was the lesser evil in the long run.

I think the Russians will be evacuating Kherson soon. The administrative officials fleeing in droves without warning happened in the north just before every Russian rout.

I laughed my ass off when US trained Ukrainian military cyber division hackers managed to hack into a Russian airbase and changed the coordinate data on the Chinese CPU of several drones. Instead of attacking Ukrainians they hit several Russian ammo dumps.

how about we don't go around assasinating heads of state?
So its ok to kill millions of conscripts but not ok to kill 1 head of state?
Heads of state (all of them) SHOULD be afraid when they condemn millions to death for stupid wars.

Conventional War is a crime against humanity, assassinating a head of state is an act of righteousness. All wars should be ended via leader assassinations.

their replacement, who doesn't want to get killed.
also, they will not be so quick to start wars if they knew it was on the table...
if nobody steps up to take the reigns of power then the war peters out as nobody is there to order the soldiers to fight

... also, assassinating leaders was always a very common tactic. Both for USA and others. I don't know where the "we must not do this thing" meme sprung from.

USA kept on trying to assassinate kadafi and the leader of cuba. for example. as well as various muslim leaders.
there were multiple assassination attempts against hitler and stalin.

Okay, that I did laugh at. They were tricked into bombing their own valuable ammo dumps? :ROFLMAO:
