Republicans, Race, and the "Great Replacement"

You need to keep in mind that the GOP is a big-tent party. It includes both white nationalists

No, it does not. I'm sure there are a few people who keep such views very quiet who are members, but white nationalists are not a part of the Republican Party in any meaningful way, they have no influence on its platform, its policies, or its candidates. Any who become openly known as such get removed from positions of influence or outright kicked out.

If you can find a single officer or candidate of the Republican Party on the Federal level that is a WN, I'll be shocked. If you can find more than a sparse handful on the local/state level, I'll be shocked, and I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't find any of those at all either.

White Nationalists are traditionally leftists and associated with the Democrat Party. Up until the 80's, they were openly such, and even in this day and age Richard Spencer voted for Biden.

What about Steve King? Though he did lose his seat in 2020. Or any other Republican politician who talks about the Great Replacement:

The only people suggesting the GOP tent is big enough for white nationalists are white nationalists. Which makes WolfBear bringing up the topic unsolicited rather sus.

Pretty much an example of what LordsFire said. "Any who become openly known as such get removed from positions of influence or outright kicked out."

Read the article about how the Great Replacement theory became popular on the political right. And FWIW, I myself don't actually view the Great Replacement as an unequivocally bad thing, with me living in California and all and liking it other than for the very high housing prices over here.

I guess if you don't mind being colonized... :cautious:

Depends on what kind of colonization it is. Is free speech, et cetera preserved? Are whites being persecuted? Are we allowed to discuss possible genetic causes of average racial and ethnic group differences on various important traits?

BTW, the Left calls Tucker Carlson a white nationalist and he hasn't been canceled yet:

Or any other Republican politician who talks about the Great Replacement:

"American ethnic demographics are shifting toward a mix that seems like it heavily favors democrats" is an accepted fact of political discourse across the entire political spectrum. Democrats used to openly admit that, brag about it, and talk about how they could speed it up. NPR is blatantly trying to alter history by acting like this sort of talk is new and only confided to the right, which it isn't. Both parties have accepted this is happening and adopting a variety of positions, from "this is good" to "this is bad" to "they think this is good for them and bad for us, but we can flip this on them".

Remember, most of the people who go on about the 'Great Replacement' when it comes to race often blame the Jews for 'controlling' it.

What they fail to realize is the Jews have no interesting in 'replacing' the WN/WS types, because they already have a better social position than those cretins ever could and have already ready 'replaced' them in the social hierarchy.

The left calls anyone they disagree with that...

They called Larry Elder, a black man, the black face of white supremacy.

They called Candace Owans, a black woman, a white supremacist.

There's the awful stuff they say about Clarence Thomas.

If you're the least bit conservative they'll try and tar you with language like that.

It doesn't mean anything anymore.

Now if people are ACTUALLY race supremacists of any kind, yeah dump them.

But the left has proven to be remarkably bad judges of character and incredibly hypocritical when it comes to supremacists.

Leftists might call the POC that you mentioned here self-hating POC. ;)

Yeah. They do. And worse.

Apparently the left thinks that skin color determines what political views people should have and if people go against it then they are a race traitor or self hating and so on.

It's quite a bit racist honestly.
The only thing someone's skin tone should tell you about them is the type of climate they're most acclimated to and comfortable in. No more and no less.

Yeah, and often if you go out of that zone for which your ancestors adapted to you might face problems.
Whites in the more southern parts of the world are more likely to develop skin cancer, I think that is a common problem with people in the American South.
There was some list with maladies that blacks in the USA suffer more often than whites, and it had a lot of overlap with long term vitamin D deficiency.

Similarly, even groups with darker skin that have somehow developed the idea that fairer skin puts you higher in the hierarchy of the universe or have taboos against nudity, like the Indians, had a lot more problems with stuff like COVID and have more problems with diabetes and other diseases.
And it is not just skincolor, the Inuits IIRC have a very fat-heavy diet, but paradoxically their levels of heartdisease are lower.
People from parts of the middle east have better alcohol tolerance as well, IIRC, because they were the first to invent booze.
Since the mongols were nomadic shepherds they could only produce a kind of fermented mare's milk called kumiz, iirc, with a very low alcohol contents, consequently they and other steppe peoples had lots of problems with fermented fruits and grains.

So a darker skin color is nature's way of telling you, 'yeah, your ancestors adapted to this environment, so you are probably better off sticking to it', which means eating the same food, drinking the same beverages and getting the same amount of solar radiation as them.
