Looks like Sony is planning on ramping up the supply of PS5's by 40-50% to meet 'unexpectedly' increased demand over the next few months and because their supply chain of component makers have been able to increase capacity.

Looks like scalpers are getting 30% less for Sony Playstation 5's now though XBoxX's or whatever they are called are holding steady in price.
Playstation 5 reselling apparently started at a thousand bucks back in Q42020 as expected but now is "merely" around $700 dollars for either version (obviously the regular console is worth a bit more but apparently only by $15 bucks).
The new XBox went from a debut peak of $750-800 and then dipped down to $600 last July but apparently bounced back up to $725 dollars as of now, actually surpassing the PS5.

After outselling the PS4 in its first year of release, supply constraints and increased production to fulfill PS4 demand actually resulted in more PS4's being sold then PS5's in the new consoles second year of release. Sony is stating that they feel that the PS5 situation will normalize in 2024... when the chip shortage is also expected to do so according to the CEO of Intel.

I just asked a few ago to a Gamestop near me about PS5 and turns out (at least this one) that they are selling PS5 only in bundle with multiple games for...I think 750 euros. And you have to pre-order it at the beginning of each month.
It will be the midlife upgrade.

Frankly who the fuck wants to buy a PS5 with having to wait and spend that much?
Not me. Honestly, I'm still waiting on a discount for that console, or at least some games tieup with it. But alas, it's still the most-scalpep console thus far.
And odds are PS6 will be even worse somehow...

I think that even if I was a rich customer I would be turned off by the fact that has little to offer except in bundles of 750 euros with games.
I think i will simply stick to isometric RPGs (like WRATH OF THE RIGHTEOUS) and twin stickshooters , or old but not demanding pc games that can run on my laptop, which I will use for a few more good years at this point.
Like Timeshift, the two KOTOR, Medieval II.
When games were made for costumers not consumers or to cater to Twitter humanoid freaks.
