The statements around backwards compatibility are a massive relief, at least. I really hate it when consoles don't have access to their predecessor's catalogs, and limited 'virtual consoles' like the Switch have really annoy me.

Maybe with the huge improvements to load times we won't need to slooooowly squeeze through so many small passages in the next part of the FFVII Remake.

So I watched the launch video today and it looks like the PS5 is going to have more exclusive titles that the last couple Playstations.

I am not surprised that they are having a version for people that have gone completely digital. But I am happy to have the option to still buy hard copys. I personal like having hard copies of anything I buy.

The speaker for the controler is also not a surprise give the raise in voice tech the last few years.

Overall the video show cases a decent mix of games from action to horror. So while only a frist look it is nice to see Sony is pulling out a lot of stops to make this release better then last time.

The few games I am looking forward to are Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Project Athia and Ghostwire.

There are also some classic titles coming out to. I don't really play them but both Resident Evil and Grand Theft Auto have new games. Even Ratchet and Clank and getting a new game.

So any thoughts or games you guys are looking forward too?

Whilst I've never been a big souls fan (never quite had the patience, didn't exactly get along with the method of story telling, etc), I was pleasantly surprised to see a Demon's Soul remake. There is a big chunk of the gaming community who will buy a Playstation 5 just for that. Somebody in the YouTube comments commented that the "live reactions" to the reveal seemed to consist of "screams of joy and PTSD."

True I saw a couple long running titles that will bring in fans. I am also happy to see a couple more horror titles it is always fun to play light at night.

I was never an early adapter with consoles, but this time I'll be even less. Because when it comes to video games "4th quarter" loosely translates to "They'll desperately try to release it in time for Christmas shopping no matter how buggy and unpolished it still is". So definetely better wait with this one IMHO.

Personally I am thinking I will pick it up when I see if the bave any decent bundles. I see no reason to not get at least a free game when you out the nose for a game system.

Always buy one several months after launch, the factories always cut corners in testing when they need to reach X numbers for the launch. The later units will also have fixes for non-critical issues that came up during the first production run that they ignored to make launch.

Oh, lovely. They've sent me a mo-ron.

Wut. I see posts about begging a sugar momma to pay for the ps5. I don't know if it's true or not.

Fan shenanigans afoot.

As in apparently some PS5's are apparently quieter then others by a few decibels.

Apparently these Fast & Furious style moving heist have occurred 27 times as of late. Such cases have also cropped up in Romania and Chile as well.

Meanwhile in America robbers merely hijack UPS and FedEx delivery trucks in the hope there are consoles or other valuables on board.

They are a luxury item that can be sold for a profit on the blackmarket.
