Hello All!

So I recently got Ghost Recon: Wildlands and I gotta say, having just come off Future Soldier, I'm rather impressed with the open world nature of the game. Feels like a Ubisoft Tom Clancy game and I'm looking to explore it and share that with you guys here. I was also inspired to get this game and make a runthrough on it by watching the guys at F.I.S.T as they went through the campaign. I've quickly discovered I'm nowhere near as skilled as they are at the game. Practice, practice, practice. I'll get there eventually.

Here is a link to F.I.S.Ts channel to see them in action. Second link is to the start of the Ghost Recon Wildlands campaign. I highly recommend watching it get a feel for true tactical gameplay.

I'm doing the gameplay on regular difficulty before I either up or down the difficulty. I'm currently playing solo and I'm looking for a potential partner to play with for COOP gameplay.

First mission was the rescue of Amaru. Standard 'Find the Lieutenant' interrogate him and then rescue the hostage. Everything seemed to go okay and I was slowly picking off the badguys until one of the bodies was discovered. Then it turned into a free for all firefight. Apparently I can only do 1 sync shot with one member of the squad. Not sure why that is. Anyway the mission was completed with little difficulty. I may keep up a regular log on this and take commentary from you guys on what to look out for or how to proceed.

Enjoy!

I need to get around to playing this sometime, I loved Future Soldier and from what I can tell wildlands builds a lot on the scout-plan-plan some more-keep planning-kill everyone in 30 seconds model that Future Soldier leaned on.

It's not the best example of that genre, IMO CI games nailed it almost perfectly with Sniper 3, but Wildlands has a co op mode (which, unlike Future Soldier, gives you a reason to use it), so it has its own selling point.

So far all I've been doing are side missions to help the Rebels. Still loads of fun.

I will say this. Attacking a Unidad outpost and then Getting trapped by repeated patrols responding with eventually a fucking Apache gunship coming to the party...and then having to fight through that and escape....not fun!

La Yuri and El Polito are dead. Itacua province has more or less been cleared out aside from the random spawns of Sicarios and Unidad. I essentially completed all the side quests before completing the story missions. Moving on to the next.

El Emisario is dead. Orcoro province, once the Cocaine capital of the world has been liberated. The Rebels now control it. Additionally, Carzita has also been taken down and the province of De Agua Verde also liberated.

Accordingly, I've destabilized 27% of Security, 25% of Production and 24% of Santa Blanca's infrastructure.

Okay. Figud none of you guys cared about Operation Kingslayer so I just played without keeping you all updated.

That being said. I spent hundreds if hours dismantling the Cartel. I killed or captured all the Bouchones, the underbosses and the head of Influence, Security, Smuggling and Production. I even completed the Ricky Sandoval missions, finished Operations Oracle and Silent Spade before going after El Sueno. Yet I STILL got the bad ending!? The only mission I didn't complete was the side quest to kill the Predator. That thing is just too hard to kill with my current skill level in the game.

So what gives!? I did what they said. Dismantle the entire Cartel before taking out El Sueno. Someone help me out here?
