BREAKING NEWS ALERTS: MISSISSIPPI GOVERNOR CLIFF FINCH (D) INDICTED ON ADDITIONAL CORRUPTION CHARGES INCLUDING GRAFT, WIRETAPPING, ILLEGAL FINANCIAL ACTIVITIES

*July 26, 1979: Explosive news coming out of the Magnolia State, where many of the state's television stations reported the US Department of Justice indicted Mississippi Governor Cliff Finch (D)
and 12 key aides or staff members of his administration on 25 counts including illegal banking practices, wiretapping, mail fraud, bribery, obstruction of justice and tampering of grand juries.

The news comes as Finch has been grappling with countless corruption scandals engulfing his administration. ABC News reported that Finch was arrested by FBI agents at the Mississippi Governor's Mansion in Jackson, Mississippi and taken to the federal courthouse: being finger-printed, photograped with mugshots, and escorted with handcuffs and shackles along with several of his co-conspirators, who were arrested.

It's unknown what this could do to Finch's presidential campaign for the Democratic Party presidential nomination in 1980 as there are now calls for the embattled Mississippi Governor to drop out altogether.

Reporters, state legislators, administration officials and others gathered inside the Rotunda of the Mississippi State Capitol Building to watch the swearing-in ceremony of Mississippi Lieutenant Governor
Evelyn Gandy (D), who made history as the Magnolia State's 58th Governor as well as becoming the first female Governor in state history. That Jackass General!
3:55 PM, Saturday, August 25, 1979
Somewhere in Los Pinos
Outskirts of Mexico City, Mexico

Oscar Wellington Serrano Robles was something of a political enigma. The third of 16 children born into a upper middle-class ranching family, he excelled in his academics and also greatly excelled in athletics: boxing, football, etc., graduating from high school at the age of 17, he was accepted into the Military Academy and enjoyed serving with his fellow cadets: duty, integrity, honor and serving your country meant a lot to Oscar. In addition to his native Spanish, Oscar was excellently fluent in English, French, Danish and Korean.

He met and became engaged to Geneva DeSouza, the daughter of the Mexican Ambassador to the Argentine Republic. They were married on 13 July 1940, six days after he was commissioned into the Mexican Army with the rank of Second Lieutenant. They would be the parents of five sons: Oscar Robles, Jr., Luis Robles, Miguel Herrera Robles, Rafael Hernandez Robles, and Joaquin Winfred Robles, all of whom followed their father's footsteps in serving in the Mexican Armed Forces (Army and Air Force respectively) and seven daughters: Mamie, Margaret, Elizabeth, Eleanor, Louise, Maria Alba and Raquel. This marriage lasted for 25 years until their divorce in the Summer of 1965 on friendly terms but Oscar and Geneva remained close good friends. On 17 October 1969, Robles married Fernanda Arizmendi (more on her backstory later in the timeline), a popular former beauty pageant contestant and movie actress. They had seven daughters: Donna Belle, Arabella, Brianna, Zephenia, Madeleine, Sofia and Isabella.

Before the escalation of World War II reached the Americas: Robles rose steadily in the ranks of the Mexican Army: promoted to First Lieutenant, being assigned to duty in the Panama Canal Zone, and following several routine assignments was sent to the Third Army in San Antonio, Texas where he learned psychological warfare. He was then promoted to Captain and returned home to Mexico when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941. Mexico declared war on Germany on 22 May 1942 when German U-boats destroyed two Mexican oil tankers in the Gulf of Mexico: the SS Potrero del Hano and the SS Faja de Oro, both of whom were carrying crude oil to the United States.

Robles was part of the 201st Squadron, where following training in Texas, were deployed to the Philippines as Mexico and Brazil became only one of two Latin American nations to contributing soldiers during World War II. The 201st Squadron was sent to the Philippines on 27 March 1945 and participating in the Battle of Luzon, therefore defeating the Japanese and liberating the then-US Commonwealth of the Philippines (who would later become an independent country in 1946).

Robles was then promoted to the rank of Major in the Fall of 1945, when he was deployed to the Argentine Republic in 1945, where he witnessed the rise of the Peronist movement led by eventual Argentine Republic President Juan Domingo Peron (who ascended to the Presidency as the South American country's 29th President on 4 June 1946) and his popular second wife, Eva Duarte de Peron becoming First Lady. Robles was impressed by the Peron's and was intrigued by the trappings and power they each wielded.

As the years went by, Robles continued his quiet military career in the Mexican Army with more promotions leading the 13th Infantry Division, 25th Squadron and the 37th Airborne Brigade Combat Squadron rising to the rank of Lieutenant General and serving as Defense Command Commander of the Mexican Army, one of the highest positions in his military career.

Due to the political instability inside Mexico, Robles had long resisted injecting the military into politics, but finally moved when it seemed to him that the unbridled terrorism and economic incompetence of the reviled administration of then-Mexican President Luis Echeverria Alvarez couldn't be longer tolerated. Indeed, Robles, as Army Commander of the Defense Command, stayed his hand for so long that he was known as the "Strategic Dragon." On the night of January 16, 1973, Robles and the other Chiefs of the Armed Forces decided (after long detailed planning of two years) decided that Mexico could no longer be allowed to drift any further.

Robles aggressively moved swiftly and with precision. He gave the Mexican Army full control of the struggle against the guerrillas of the left, who had taken several thousand lives in Mexico during the past few years.

Upon officially being installed as Mexico's 58th President on 21 February 1973, Robles installed an indirect Electoral College System with assistance from the Mexican Military Junta that resulted in him winning the Presidency outright in the Summer of 1976 virtually unopposed as the only candidate with 99% of the vote and reelected in 1977 with 84% of the vote to a second term. Once regarded as a follower than a leader, Robles proved to be strong and competent. He got along well with Admiral Enrique Castillo and Air Force Chief Mauricio Del Monte, but there was absolutely no question that Robles wielded supreme authority.

Robles was a hardcore staunch anti-communist and tough-minded infantry soldier who was credited with deeply ingrained Evangelical moralist views. His personal integrity was unquestioned, and he was described in Mexico as a "man from another time" who loathed corruption and wouldn't tolerate it inside his government.

During his first two terms, Robles followed a policy of austerity and discipline to stabilizing the economy. He encouraged the flow of foreign capital and tourists returning to former levels, and that exports, made competitive by the devaluation, brought in more dollars.

During Robles' administration, Mexico continued improving relations with other countries. In January 1976, then-Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau came to discuss investments in livestock development, mining, tourism, and the manufacture of railroad cars. In March 1976, President Tito of Yugoslavia paid a State Visit; and in April of that year, memorandum of understanding on economic and industrial cooperation was signed with the United Kingdom. Trade and economic assistance were again discussed when European Commission President Francois Xavier Ortoli, visited the country in April.

In September 1977, Robles paid an official State Visit to Spain: becoming the first Mexican President to do so since the Spanish Civil War------and a cooperation treaty was signed. An additional agreement with the United States (with whom Robles had cordial respectful relations with then-US Presidents Gerald Ford and Nelson Rockefeller) granted Mexico reciprocal rights to fish within the 200-mile fishing limit claimed by the United States.

Majority of the reforms promised by Robles in 1975 began to be carried out, including the relaxation of censorship on sexually-suggestive movies and television dramas; opening of the Breeze of Mexico festivals across Mexico; inauguration of sporting events in Mexico such as hosting Major League Baseball games; ice skating events; basketball tournaments; Track and Field tournaments including Women's Artistic Gymnastics meets.

During his third Presidential Address to the Nation in September 1978, Robles stated that proven petroleum reserves were now 20 billion bbl, profitable reserves 37 billion bbl, and potential resources 200 billion bbl. By the end of 1978, the country's production of hydrocarbons stood approximately 1.4 billion bbl per day, 57% over November 1977. The President, gearing up for reelection campaign to third term in 1980 and possible fourth term in 1985 which would extend his grip on the Presidency until 1995 potentially serving for 20 years, Robles boasted that the government employees would be granted 13% wage increase if they earned up up $25,000+ per month and 3,800-peso increase if pay was over that amount, and the annual bonus would be increased from 20 to 40 days' pay. The country needed to have three million houses built by 1982, but only half of this requirement could be fulfilled because of chaotic bureaucratic red tape. Redistribution of land was proceeding, but large plots would only be granted to cooperatives.

On the diplomatic front, relations improved with the Soviet Union and Bulgaria during the Robles administration, as he justified it as "The Independent Foreign Policy Initiative" following his visits to both countries in May 1978 discussing matters related to oil, technology, and agricultural systems. This was a central theme in discussions with Taiwan (where Robles restored diplomatic relations upon taking power following the successful 1973 military coup d'etat), which Robles visited in late October 1978, when he went to Japan. Resumption of good diplomatic relations with Spain after 40+ years had been marked by a six-day State Visit to Mexico in November 1978 by King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sophia, during which various cooperation agreements were signed.

GRAND JURY FINDS FINCH ASSOCIATES GUILTY OF CORRUPTION; BRIBERY; WIRETAPPING, ETC
*Six senior Finch administration officials found guilty on all counts in corruption trial.
*Sentencing to be rendered in a few months.
*Political fallout likely to impact Democratic Party Gubernatorial Runoff election.

*Saturday, August 25, 1979: Over at the US Federal District Courthouse in Jackson, Mississippi., the 12-member Grand Jury found six senior Finch administration officials guilty on all counts of obstruction of justice, bribery, wire fraud, wiretapping, graft, illegal financial activities. The guilty verdicts had been expected over the past three months or longer since the trial began in Mid 1978.

Due to the shocking death of then-Mississippi Governor Cliff Finch (D) on August 16th, prosecutors have stated that the charges against him will be posthumously dropped altogether out of respect for the Finch family.

Political observers speculated that the guilty verdicts and the ongoing corruption scandals which engulfed the Finch administration, will likely impact the upcoming August 28th Democratic Party gubernatorial primary runoff election between Mississippi Governor Evelyn Gandy (D) and former Mississippi Lieutenant Governor William F. Winter (D), who attacked Finch and Gandy during the majority of the campaign by tying Gandy to the corruption scandals.

BREAKING NEWS ALERT: WINTER DEFEATS GANDY IN DEMOCRATIC PARTY GUBERNATORIAL PRIMARY RUNOFF ELECTION
*Former Mississippi Lieutenant Governor William F. Winter easily defeats incumbent Governor Evelyn Gandy in runoff election.
*Experts believed corruption scandals and federal trial against key Finch administration officials played huge factor in the runoff vote.
*Mississippi Democrats united behind Winter as campaign hits home stretch in the fall.

*Tuesday, August 28, 1979: In his third attempt at seeking the Governor's Mansion, former Mississippi Lieutenant Governor William F. Winter (D) easily trounced incumbent Mississippi Governor Evelyn Gandy (D) by double digits (56% to 43%) in the Democratic Party gubernatorial primary runoff election.

Winter is edging closer of achieving his childhood dream of being Governor. He'll face off against Republican nominee Gil Carmichael (R), where polling surveys have Winter ahead by double digits ranging from 20-25 percentage points.

"Mississippians are ready to turn the page after four chaotic years and ready to move forward into the new decade," Winter declared during his victory speech at campaign headquarters.

Lord Mounbatten in 1973.

On the evening of 26 August 1979, someone from the Provisional IRA, a paramilitary group of Irish nationalists, had secretly planted a bomb on a wooden boat and painted something red on the side of it connecting with the bomb device underneath. "This old jackass and those of his ilk are interfering in the affairs of Northern Ireland. And I'm going to make sure those in the United Kingdom will forever be afraid to put their leaders in public."

The motive of the IRA terrorist organization was launching terror campaign in driving out British forces from Northern Ireland with the goal of creating a united, independent nation.

Louis Francis Albert Victor Nicholas Mounbatten, the 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma, who was a relative of the British Royal Family, was lobster fishing on the morning of 27 August 1979 on his wooden boat, Shadow V, in the village of Mullaghmore, County Silgo, in the west of Ireland, where he had a holiday residence.

Accompanying Mountbatten: his eldest daughter, Patricia and her husband; twin 14-year-old grandsons Nicholas and Timothy; son-in-law's mother, Doreen, Dowager Lady Brabourne and 15-year-old boat boy Paul Maxwell.

While they were lobster fishing, all of a sudden: eyewitnesses heard a loud explosion BOOM! According to several eyewitnesses, the boat looked like it had gotten smashed into smithereens and the impact of the bomb was very deadly.

Later that afternoon, 18 British soldiers were killed near the Irish border at Warrenpoint in an IRA bombing ambush. According to several international newspaper publications, "It was the single heaviest death toll for the British Army in the 10 years since it was sent into quelling fighting Roman Catholic and Protestant militants."

(Part I): Secret life of the Beauty Pageant Contestant
10:00 PM, September 15, 1979
Somewhere in Los Pinos
Outskirts of Mexico City, Mexico.

Fernanda Livia Arizmendi was one of the youngest First Ladies of the United Mexican States in the country's history at the age of 23 when her husband, Army Lieutenant General Oscar Robles took the Presidency in a military coup d'etat on February 21, 1973. Upon moving into Los Pinos (Residence of the Mexican President and First Family) the next day, Fernanda was amazed at the intrigue of the heavily-secured residence and she was also intrigued by all of the secret tunnels (more on that later 😎).

The daughter of a prominent Mexican diplomat, Ricardo Jorge Arizmendi, who later served as Mexican Foreign Affairs Minister for six years. Her mother was Maria Lyneth Brito, who came from a middle-class ranching family. Fernanda was one of 13 children (some theorized her father, Ricardo might've fathered more than 61 children due to his chronic womanizing). Others assumed that since Brito wasn't married to the married Arizmendi, that Fernanda was one of those illegitimate children; it is common knowledge that Don Ricardo provided for all of his children including Fernanda, who moved to New Zealand to attend private boarding school in Wellington during her boarding school days, where she was fluent in English and French. Graduating from the Saint Mary's Academy for Girls and attended the Saint John XXIX Women's College, graduating in three years while pursuing a career as a model and beauty pageant contestant.

Beginning her part-time pageantry career in becoming Miss Quintana Roo in 1965 and held the title for two years until winning the title of Senorita Mexico in 1967 representing her home state of Quintana Roo; Fernanda then pursued jobs on the stage, radio and television, including film. She also toured nationally with a theater company, working as a model and was cast in several B-rated melodramas. She experienced economic stability when a company called Lamarque hired her for a daily role in one of their filming melodramas and also signed a five-year contract with them which included several stage and films of her acting career.

On 25 October 1965, Fernanda met Army Lieutenant General Oscar Robles during a fundraising gala in Cancun, promptly becoming Robles' girlfriend. In her diary, she referred to the night she met her future husband as her "marvelous day". With no knowledge of or interest in politics prior to meeting Robles; she never argued with Robles or his inner circle, but calmly absorbed what she was hearing. Less than four years later, on 17 October 1969, Robles married Fernanda in a private church wedding ceremony and would be blessed with seven daughters.

Following the bloodless military coup on 21 February 1973 that ousted the controversial government of then-Mexican President Luis Echeverria which resulted in Robles ascending to the Presidency. He was elected in an indirect Electoral College system with 99.99% of the national vote, where he was the only candidate; Fernanda campaigned on his behalf across the country in 1976 by using weekly radio shows and newspaper advertisements, where she delivered powerful speeches with heavy populist rhetoric urging the poor, middle-class and ranching communities to aligning themselves with Robles' movement.

During her time as First Lady of the United Mexican States, Fernanda implemented family counseling programs, primarily focused in communities with fewer than 2,500 residents that didn't have access to federal services. Among the initiatives she worked hard to have implemented: literacy reduction; women in politics; midwifery; 73 social programs such as home construction, infrastructure projects, orchards, special education, sports, job training. She had accompanied her husband on various foreign trips and made several foreign trips on her own including the long foreign goodwill tour during the Spring of 1977 which lasted until December 1977, where she visited numerous countries such as Israel, Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Greece, France, United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, the Vatican and Saudia Arabia.

New reports have come out from within the Finch administration staff members reveals this might not be what exactly happened. According to sources, a 22-year-old female confidential secretary who worked for the Governor was with him that day. It is widely believed they had engaged in sexual intercourse inside one of the private bedrooms of the Governor's Mansion in Jackson during the late evening hours of August 15th. After Governor Finch suffered a fatal heart attack, the secretary had difficulty getting out due to being pinned underneath him, and after several minutes, managed to get out (both were naked and barefoot during this secret escapade), she called another female staff member who was working in the private office inside the Governor's Mansion. Afterwards, that staff member notified members off the Mississippi Highway Patrol, who issued an immediate emergency call.

Now here's what more extraordinary: only a summary of the details of Governor Finch's death had been released to the public, including an autopsy confirming his death was natural. The same sources from within the Finch administration staff confirmed that Mississippi Governor
Evelyn Gandy (D) restricted majority of the explosive summary at the request of former Mississippi First Lady Zelma Smith Finch. Accordingly, Gandy wanted to protect the privacy of the Finch family. Spokesperson for the Governor's Office declined to comment on the story and urged the public to respecting the late Governor's privacy.

Somewhere inside Los Pinos
Outskirts of Mexico City, Mexico.

Fernanda was having a rough time sleeping on the evening hours of October 14th due to the after effects of surgery in what she was told was an appendectomy several months earlier.

"The pain hurts so much, I am trying to get some sleep," Fernanda said to herself inside her private room in the private family quarters as she was sweating profusely non-stop. It was 10:27 PM at night and she was gripping the large pillow next to her on the bed; Fernanda tried to calm down temporarily, which is where she had some flashbacks: her secret lifestyle behind closed doors....

******Flashack:
Speaking of her secret lifestyle: It was the night of July 25, 1975: Fernanda was inside her secluded private room in the private family quarters of Los Pinos as she was combing her dark brown hair looking at herself in the mirror, she was amazed at how she got to become First Lady at the youngest age of 25: "I am the First Lady of the United Mexican States and the youngest woman to ever hold this ceremonial title" she proudly said smiling.

She noticed a secret door adjoining her bedroom, which was inside her double-closet, "Secret hideout huh?" Fernanda said to herself as she turned off the lights of her room, and pretended to go to sleep as she locked the doors tightly with triple locks; "Going to see that secret hideout one way or another, but first I need to buzz someone." In the adjoining room was Narda DeLeon, who was a young female Palace maid working only for Fernanda; Narda was asleep when the gold buzz light lit up, she entered the First Lady's room: "Madam First Lady, you called ma'am? Anything you need or want. A drink or something?"

Fernanda calmly said "I'm gonna personally make you a special kind of drink. You're gonna love it, here you go". They each drank this special kind of drink, Narda gulped the taste of the strong water-like drink, "Tastes strong, what is it?" Fernanda said, "Just a little extra spicy refreshment I brought here for my own personal usage. I want you show you something extremely private."

Grabbing Narda by the hand, Fernanda walked into a secret hideaway and closed the door of her double-closet; they walked through the secretive tunnels, which included stairs. The place had no glass windows and it was completely sound-proof, just the way Fernanda loved it. After taking off their clothes: naked and barefoot, Fernanda and Narda engaged in a secret lesbian sex escapade on the bed all night long as Fernanda had an addictive out of control sexual appetite.

Fernanda was still struggling trying to sleep inside her private bedroom in the private family quarters of the presidential palace. Feeling the stinging hard pain rushing with aggressive force inside her body, Fernanda gripped the bedsheets as she was drenched with sweat and beginning to cry, she was gripping the sheet around her vaginal area.

The constant chronic sex addiction that Fernanda was doing non-stop for several years before and after becoming First Lady, where she engaged in sex escapades with men, women including hermaphrodite women had finally come back to bite her.

She knew deep down that she wasn't feeling well and the painful vaginal bleeding began to ensue as Fernanda strained painfully at the horrific pain inside the lower part of her body was too much; it had become too much for her so bad that Fernanda collpased and fainted on the floor after slowly trying to get to the bathroom.

The 10.26.79 Incident
Friday, October 26, 1979
KCIA Safehouse
Gongjeong-dong, Seoul, Republic of Korea

14062812.jpg

October 26, 1979: ROK President Park Chung-hee, second from the left, pressing a button to open the gate of a seawall of the Sapgyao Stream in Asan, South Chungcheong, this would be the last public event for Park.
......"Land development is the driving force of national power. The seawall around Sapgyao Stream will provide a better life for farmers and prevent floods and droughts."
------Republic of Korea President Park Chung-hee
26 October 1979
Sapgayo Stream
Asan, South Chungcheong, Republic of Korea.

The controversial, authoritarian five-term Republic of Korea President Park Chung-hee, who had been in power for 18 years since taking power in a popular military coup d'etat on 16 May 1961, had faced one of the toughest and difficult challenges of his regime. Protests had been spreading across the Northeastern Asian country in recent years, which took hold in Masan and Busan because of backlash over the explusion of opposition leader (and future 14th President) Kim Young-sam from the National Assembly. Thousands had been arrested and dozens wounded in the ensuing crackdowns. Meanwhile over at the Blue House (Residence of the ROK President), the mood was even darker with the inner circle of the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th President, being bitterly divided between KCIA Director Kim Jae-gyu and fierce aggressive hardliner Chief Presidential Bodyguard and chief security advisor Cha Ji-chul.

The obvious disputes between Kim and Cha had gotten so blatantly toxic, they refused to work together and Cha's increasing influence over the President to Kim escalated the situation. Plus Cha personally controlled an entire division of the Republic of Korea Army; Kim controlled the entire security apparatus.

Realizing something needed to be done, Kim decided it was time to save the Republic of Korea by any means necessary. It was this decision that would deadly consequences for Koreans going forward!

On 26 October 1979, President Park was feeling upbeat following his attendance at a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the erection of a seawall on the Sapgyo Stream in Asan, South Chungcheong. Sadly, this was going to be Park's last public appearance attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony. He had no clue of what would be in store him later in the evening.

Ordering subordinates to arrange a dinner banquet, which would be held at a KCIA Safehouse in Gongjeong-dong, in Central Seoul.

The dinner was attended by President Park, Director Kim, Chief Bodyguard Cha, Chief Secretary Kim Gye-won (all four of whom served in the ROK Army; three of whom were participants of Park's successful military coup d'etat from 18 years earlier). Also attending this special dinner banquet were two beautiful women: rising singer Sim Soo-bong and college student Shin Jae-soon. Earlier in the day, Kim called Army Chief of Staff General Jeong Seung-hwa inviting him to attend the dinner. He also invited KCIA Deputy Director Kim Jeong-seol, where the two would dine inside a nearby KCIA building in the same compound grounds.

COMING SOON IN CHAPTER 7: Part II of the 10.26.79 Incident.
