I'm somewhat mystified by how the artist sculpting the NYC statue spent weeks/months working on it and never once looked at the design and said "huh, you know when you really look at it, it does sorta look like a like racist cartoon character from a 1930s cartoon."

That said, the Senegalese one isn't much better, it's clearly a standard soviet style "all hall the glorious manily proletariat" statue, with a different ethnicity depicting and the central figure holding a child instead of a hammer and sickle.
And yet it's still easier on the eye than this afro-whatever abomination.

Some Florida High School apparently edited over eighty photographs in their $100 Yearbooks to cover up problematic things like shoulders and mild cleavage... and apparently did so poorly.

How much do you want to bet that said editor was an uggo mad that these girls were all prettier than her?

A lot of the complaining comes down to "muh sexism" though. They completely gloss over the fact that the male dress code also says they can't wear revealing clothing, and that the differences between the dress codes for males and females come down to the types of clothing that they generally wear to begin with, which is why, for example, the male dress code states that underwear can't be visible (pull up your pants!). The edit is lame, but it's even more lame that the majority of the article is basically a bitchfest about girls getting written up the most (probably because they violate the dress code the most).

We ought to do like Japan and just require uniforms at schools.

Won't work as much. I went to catholic schools and remember my parent grumbling having to replace shirts and pants almost every other year as I grew. Though I do remember that a lot of parents never bothered replacing uniforms unless they were completely out grown. Much to my pleasure in my high school years as the girls grew up but their cloths didn't.

"Ethically Sourced" Environmentally Friendly" "Woke Coke" exists... catering to the conscientious British cocaine consumer.

However the reputation of this new brand of cocaine is being SULLIED by drug policy experts and local aid workers who state such claims are nothing more then clever marketing ploys meant to persuade well monied Cokeheads to pay it through the nose.

Clever marketing ploy
As is becoming disconcertingly common in these situations, SMBC did it first.
