You know what? It makes absolutely no sense in the context of the book (spice slows aging. Shaddam IV is explicitly said to look "no a day over thirty")... but I'm okay with it. Christopher Walker as emperor of the known galaxy. Yeah, sure. Let's run with that.


He was also supposed to be Dooku but got passed over.
Seriously? That would be the second ime he didn't get a part in Star Wars, since he was also a runner-up for the role of Han Solo back in the day.

They think because he died ten or so years later before the events of Dune Messiah that he ought to be played by frail old dudes. Hence Jose Ferrer and that Italian dude that voices Joker in the Italian dubs of Batman IP from the 90s playing him.

But in reality he declined so quickly and died so "young" because Paul rationed his spice and had him killed via neglect.
