Musk actually buys Twitter.

Part of this is explainable by the fact that our company has been expanding the plant, so we've got processes moving around and changing, new processes, and old ones being discontinued. Management's supposed to be updating the SWSs as we go along... but people being people, have let the paperwork slip because 'that process is going to change again next week anyways.'
That... and also by writing it down you make it easy for the company to fire you

Health insurance is a blight upon the world.

I don't agree with the people here claiming the excessive benefits at Twitter are socialism; they're just that, excessive benefits, and excessive only because how apparently low-productivity so many employees were. If I had employees who were designing the world's first functioning space elevator, I'd be happy to give them benefits like that.

But health insurance has not only made actual health care more expensive, it's made it more time-consuming, more stressful, it acts as an additional shackle making it harder for people to change jobs, and it's been part of bloody well politicizing medicine.

All health insurance should be abandoned. Stick the money in a bank account instead, and in three years, enjoy prices on health care being 50-90% cheaper.
Additionally, health insurance actually makes its money by denying claims.
They take in X dollars, and pay back as small a fraction of X as they humanly can.

There is also the games they play with
> Your bill is $10,000
> Insurance negotiated discount for going to in network hospital: -$9000
> Insurance pays: $0
> You pay: $1000

So... people out of network are fucked with a 10k bill. I am fucked with a 1k bill.
Insurance pays literally nothing in both cases. all they did was strike a deal with the doctor to charge uninsured people 10x more than they should.

blood sucking parasites.

Putting aside health insurance which should be abolished.
Going back to benefits, I would like to just get everything as employment benefits. Food, housing, clothing, car, internet, etc.

The reason for it is simple... taxes. You don't pay taxes on employee benefits.
If the employer gives you a bunch of "free" stuff for working for them instead of a salary, then I can avoid supporting the evil parasites in Washington with my hard earned cash by not paying taxes on it.

This incidentally is one of the ways in which rich people don't pay taxes.
The own an "estate" company. the estate company owns their other companies. Then gives them a bunch of "benefits" instead of cash. so no taxes on it

Actually, yes you do. Benefits are income except in areas where it has been specifically carved out to not be income.

Well, now that musk owns twitter I tried to contest my ban.

when I was initially banned they wanted me to:
1. delete the offending tweet (it is already hidden from all. but they want me to ritually debase myself by deleting it myself, which I refuse to do )
2. give them my IRL phone number (fuck that)
3. apologize
4. wait a period of time.

I obviously wouldn't do that.

But now that it is under musk lets see if it can be reversed. I did click on requesting support to remove the unfair ban. but so far nothing
