Look, trying to silo discussion of Snowden and Assange, when it is now a newly complicated public debate, just feels like a knee-jerk reaction.

It would be better if the poll had more options, and didn't link the two.

Because Assange is not the same situation as Snowden.

Snowden had good intentions domestically, but he really should have found a way to avoid being sheltered but the CCP or Russia. Frankly I expect Snowden will end up 'mobilized' eventually, and probably end up in t hole in the ground in the Donbas, no matter what his intentions were.

Assange however...he did less damage to the US than the people who suppressed the Hunter Biden story.

Edit: And before some mod decides to send a 'friendly warning' my way, the topic of Musk's actions around these two is not going to go away just because feddie and DoD here get their panties in a twist over them.

It's in the general public discourse now, outside of any Staff power to quell.

If you want to talk about Assange or Snowden then you are free to do so in the appropriate thread or create a thread on that topic. An admin, @S'task , specifically said this was not the thread for it.

And while we may not be able to quell something in the "general public discourse", we can certainly quell in on TS if we decide to do so. Much less in a specific thread.

As far as I understand, a very good portion of the companies are coming back. There's a lot of money to be made advertising on Twitter, and it's not really become a hateful hellscape as the activists claim.

I’ve been informed that these companies withdrew their advertising from Twitter in response to various actions of Elon Musk.

Their behaviour is a likely guide to where they stand on The Great Reset.
