Okay not actually sponsored by Game of Thrones: Winter is Coming but... I think it'd be nice to have a suppository thread of excellent mobile game ads and sponsorships paid for by mobile game companies to shill for their subpar products.

Here's one excellent mobile game commercial that has been bathing the starways in tears... at least for me personally.

Ah yes... our old nemesis... Captain Muerte, the leader of Clan Annihilation. How could I forget him and his band of renegade Humans commandeering an advanced Romulan Warbird as he pursues this female Captain of a Federation starship design with a fancy phallic warp nacelle design.

Also... no combadges. How are you supposed to yell orders to your Engineering officer to reroute power to weapons and maneuvering thrusters without a combadge?

One of the best things about this commercial is how Star Trek weapons accuracy has been immediately rendered worse then that of Star Wars turbolasers as phasers have apparently turned into phaser cannons and we have the main ship spinning aboot dodging the way out of green blobs of energy... are those plasma torpedoes? Disruptors? Who the hell knows.

All I know is the Sins of the Past finally caught up with her. And she made them explode. Now she can take a sonic shower.

In conclusion... I'm pretty sure that those aft bridge consoles need to be manned. And that on one of the screens... which you can see on the thumbnail, someone left a game of Minesweeper running. Just saying is all.

Wait... the video is titled Sins of My Past but the dialogue states "Sins of Our Past"... ah nevermind.

Oh, yeah, one of those ads that shows stuff that bears no resemblance to the actual gameplay. Those are always funny, it's really telling when they have to go out of their way to not show you want the game is actually like because it's a boring grindfest (I've seen like 40 ads for like 3 differant zombie defense games in the past couple months, and still have no idea what they actually play like).

For something I have personal experience with, take a look at marvel strike force's ads:

They do at least show gameplay, and in thier defense while the game is fun it's not all that cinematic (or possibly too cinematic. When you have characeters like daredevil and worlverine that do these long, elaborate fight sequences every time they attack, it get's really old, really fast. Heaven help you if there's a mirror match). But the funny part is that the lead character, the shield medic guy who's in all the ads and is a nice subversion of the usual trope where the team healer is always a chick....well, he kinda sorta doesn't exist, and the real shield medic looks like this:

Not so subverted after all.

Oh, lovely. They've sent me a mo-ron.
Wasn't there one of those fanservice ads of sexually appealing blonde woman saying sign up my lord?

Not a quote I recall but I suppose Kate Upton could be considered a sexually appealing blonde woman...

The original inspirational speech advert:

The Come and Play With Me (LIES) commercial

And somehow they managed to wrangle enough money to afford a Superbowl ad.

Yes there's an EXTENDED edition of a Superbowl Mobile Gaming ad. Twice as long and thick with (non-game) content.

Maybe it was that one.

I used to remember ads on the internet with some blonde woman and a title saying sign up or join me my lord.

I found it. It's this one but it's not mobile.

Well considering it's a "free" browser-based MMORPG with unscrupulous use of licentious stock photos I'm sure it fits the theme of this thread. ;)

That ad has actually been brought to reality. While Evony didn't lead to any romance encounters there are now apps to collect the waifus that you can go on dates with and have children with on a mobile app.

So out comes the noble simulator where you level up, get your own retainers and waifus for your harem and collect resources. Lots of copycat simulator apps followed it. I dont know which was the first.

Looks like Raid: Shadow Legends got to Wow Such Gaming in his semi-popular Zombie Movie Cinema Sins series. He did his best to hide his horrible shame of taking money from a mobile game casino simulator but his deflections proved somewhat amusing... as did the reactions.

The promo starts 55 seconds in... but there's a special message at the end of the video as well. :p

At least while his sponsorship was soulless, he didn't sound completely dead inside (no pun intended).

I liked the Game of Thrones advertising, and would love to have seen a game based on the adverisements.

You can build a city, much like in the Age of Empires/Empire Earth series. Wow!

...No. It's just a shitty mobile copycat. Sigh.
